Location. It takes around 7 minutes walk both to Nijmegen Station and City Centre. There has lots of restaurants nearby. Staff is very helpful and friendly. We reserved a medium room which is spacious enough to open 3 big suitcases together. Breakfast is good and the price is reasonable. We rented a box of kitchenette which made our long stay easier.

The room is very dim as Asian standard. It would be nice if the hotel could provide two pillows for each bed. Cleaning of the room would only happen on the fourth day during the stay but you could ask for new towels. But they don't clean the toilet bowl so you could imagine it looked so gross going to the end of my stay!

The room was simple but clean and comfortable. The beds were better than expected. The location is exactly what we hoped for, within easy walking distance from the centre of town. There was plenty of parking space at a very reasonable pric.

Parking was available, but it wasn't immediately obvious which entrance to take, as Apple Maps directed us to a back entrance that turned out to be for residents of the adjacent apartments only. Maybe a bit clearer signposting would help? Breakfast was OK, but a little bit less varied (especially in the choice of bread and selection of eggs) than hoped.

We did like the beds, they are very very comfortable , nice shower. The room we had is big enough for a short stay. They serve a small breakfast with tees and coffees. In the afternoon the bar is open where you can enjoy some ( local ) beers. even better when the weather is good, you can sit outside on the terras. The city center is not even a 5 minute walk form the hotel, so is the train and bus station. It is a perfect location

For myself the two chairs at the table in the room were not that comfortable but I guess that is very personal. Perhaps the roadnoise can be a little bit loud if you are not used to that.

The guesthouse is only 3 minutes' walk from the station, though you do have to go around the corner to the entrance. Also about 10 minutes to the centre of town. Very convenient. I was impressed by the size of the room and the kitchen facilities would make it a good place for a longer stay (if you took the extra kitchen pack). There is a dishwasher! For the standard rate you can make tea or coffee in the room. Very clean bathroom, with toiletries included (but no tissues).

Nothing major. It's a pity that the cups provided are disposable, not reusable ones, and I found the dining chairs rather uncomfortable. There is a construction site very close by which may make noise an issue for some.

Guesthouse Vertoef is the perfect place to stay in Nijmegen!! Excellent location and wonderful staff. Superb communications in the run up to and during the stay - can't thank the staff enough for their considerate service. Our spotlessly clean room provided all that we needed for our stay - plus it is really handy for the train station/bus terminus (a very short walk!) and close to the town centre with all its facilities. Booked breakfast on arrival and so glad we did - delicious continental breakfast from a wide range of food options.

The checkin guy was very friendly, the room was basic but ok. It was clean and comfortable.

There was a bit of a lack of maintanance here and there mostly painwork, stains on the wall, the microwaves front was almost falling of, and the central heating unit was damaged quite badly, it just looked shabby, come on guys just fix it.The breakfast did not impress me either, bake off bread, no croissants, no real butter, and no eggs.

Secure underground parking for our motorbikes (booking.com doesn't seem to recognise them as a means of transport, 1/10 for booking.com) We could leave our gear on the the bikes, very convenient. Rooms have little kitchens, would be great if you are staying for a few days. Corn bread toasties are excellent, good breakfast. Staff were very friendly, Close proximity to an Irish bar, which for us Scots was especially welcome, but not the hangover :-) Much, much, better than the hotel we had in Alkmaar, which was twice the price ......

What didn't I like ? booking.com asks ..... How wet everywhere is this year so far. The seam in my thick motorbike socks were chaffing in my boots. borrrrrrring 62mph limit on Netherland's motorways. Watching the news, people who aren't kind to animals .... and many other things in the world I don't like but none of them relate to the Guesthouse Vertoef :-)

Location is excellent as it is only around 8 minutes walk from station. It is also very close to the town centre which takes around 10 minutes walk. It takes around 15 minutes walk to the river. Highly recommended.

The cleaning service is only once in 4 days. To my standard, it is unacceptable to clean the toilet once in 4 days. It looked so gross. And even on the fourth day, they came to change the bedsheet but not cleaning the toilet!! Also, the light is a bit dim to me.

Prime location - close to a park, the center, and the train station. Wonderful atmosphere and such a kind service. Big lobby and generous breakfast. The room was very big with a big window, kettle and dining table. The bed is really comfortable. We stayed there for 1 week.

The charming lobby closes at 20:00.

From communications and the initial reservation Vertoef staff were very hospitable and offering solutions for us. 3 of us came to run the Zevenheuvelennacht en dag run. Breakfast was delicious!! Checkout time was 11, but the race started for us at 13u, they allowed us and others to sit and chill until the race started. After the run, we were soaking wet as it rained very hard. The staff let folks in to dry off, providing towels and soap. The cool chill atmosfeer here is very welcoming and inviting! Oh! And without knowing it, it's located in the center of town! Choose to Centraal Station butt also to the shops and restaurants. Perfect place to stay!
