The property was spacious and had lots of character. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The room itself was spacious, clean and we really appreciated having two duvets. The shower was big and they provided shampoo, towels as well as earplugs for bedtime. You can select what you wanted for breakfast with a tick sheet before hand and the bread was provided by a local bakery. Location was very good and close to the water taxis. We’ve just a short walk to the tram. Plenty of restaurants nearby to choose from as well. At the end of our stay we were able to store our luggage and a locker downstairs while we continued exploring.

The only thing we found odd in our room was a massive picture above the bed with a lot of school children looking at us. It was kind of creepy, but we made a joke out of it every time we came back to say hello to the children. It then became the running joke for the stay.

I mean, just everything. Super friendly staff, loved the ambiance, I stayed in one of the pods or whatever they called. Looked great. At day one I couldn't sleep in one of the bottom beds because they were all taken, but when I saw an empty bed the next day I asked to switch and they were like, yeah ofcourse. They have great activities in and around the hostel. They have a really nice system for the kitchen, so it just kinda feels like home. The location is wonderful. It's not in the middle of the busy city, but near the supermarket, metro, and tram station. There is a lovely park and a route next to the canal. I don't know... can not describe it in words. You have to experience it to understand.

That I need to save money and I could not stay longer and enjoy your breakfast service and attend trips. Even though you guys can give 15% off.

Nice location and pleasant staff. A little shelf above the bed to put your electronics on when you're charging them at night.

The room we stayed at was quite dark - only one small window, and the overhead light wasn't enough to light up the space. Also a little dusty, but otherwise clean. There's no lift, and the stairs to the third floor are quite steep and narrow, so getting around with a suitcase proved a little tricky. The doors were super heavy, but it's something you can get used to.

My favorite things: The pod style bunk beds with curtains, light and outlet to charge were great. I was able to check in early since a bed was available. Having a bike room to lock up my ebike rental. Lockers in the basement to secure my pack, instead of buying the heavy lock to carry the rest of my hiking trip. Pasta night was a fantastic way to connect with other solo travelers. The entire staff was very friendly and hospitable. Mirjam especially was delightful. I enjoyed the breakfast, especially the chai tea latte and plain Greek yogurt. It was perfect supplies to make a quick sandwich for lunch on the bike that day.

I travel often for short visits, and not often do I find places that exceed my expectations. This is definitely an excellent place. Staffs were very friendly and helpful, Monique who did my checkin was very helpful and gave me some good advice on transport and places to visit. Joyace, who was always with a big smile, gave me some good tips about the city. Other staffs were also very kind and friendly. The place and the room were very colorful, vibrant, and clean, guest kitchen, Toilets, and showers were clean and tidy. The location was great, lots of nice places within the walking distance. I enjoyed my stay at this place.

Absolutely loved this place! relaxed atmosphere and great decor. The front desk staff were very friendly, and big thanks to the guy who helped me carry my luggage. The ground floor also serves as a bar with events or live performances at night. Plenty of power outlets in the room, which was great.

The 8-bed female dorm was a bit cramped. Unfortunately, some guests left smelly clothes lying around, which created an odor and blocked access to the lockers. It also got quite noisy from people drinking outside.

Great people taking care of the hostel, fast response when something does not work (AC had to be reset), talk to them, they have the best recommendations. Kitchen works out and is sorted just fine, the clock tower flat is a dream (they even have a working record player with records). Good and cheap breakfast, staggered by time. Area is close to everything, from supermarket, parking, waterfront to the park. Safe enough to just chain up the bikes outside, even though they have a place for bikes.

Not really our complaint, but: be prepared for the stairs. Don't book on top if you can't manage.

- Location is great. Close to the central train station, the center and the southern part through Erasmus bridge - The 4 bed dorm was very spacious and includes chairs and a table. - The reception lady gave me good tips for the city, the place does have a family friendly and warm vibe. I understand some of the younger people working there can also give tips for going out and sometimes show around guests - Met some really cool people there

- The bathroom/showers are outside the room, that is inconvenient but i knew that when i booked. The set up in the men’s showers is really weird, the floor is wet if one person showers and the shower area is very narrow. Nowhere to sit in order to change. I expected more for this price - Dirty toilets, they need some more cleaning or renovation in that area - No AC - The best hostels in Rotterdam in my opinion are this and King Kong. King Kong has a very lively bar attached on the main nightlife street while Room is not very social

I couldn’t begin to list all the things I liked about this place but I’ll try a few: excellent breakfast (well worth the low price), the most friendly staff, warm and cozy feeling around the place, location of the hostel being right in the action of Rotterdam, delicious beers on tap, fun events each day (never got to try pasta day but I wish I had), and discounted tickets for various touristy things. I was travelling alone and had never been to Rotterdam before, but this lot made me feel at home and were willing to help with any of my requests! They were all also super knowledgable about the area!! Shout out to Sam and Max, unfortunately I didn’t get every staff members name but you were all great. Thanks for a lovely stay, if I’m back in Rotterdam I’ll come here for sure x

Literally nothing

Hostel Room is a perfect choice if you're looking for an affordable accomodation in the centre of Rotterdam. The interior is really cosy, common area very welcoming as well as the staff. The breakfast is also worth considering, as there's a variety of products to choose from and good value for money. There were no queues to female bathrooms. We especially cherished the Multicultural room, it was really fancy and we felt as if we were princesses!
