Great location next to river. Very close to cruise port.Tram stop very close. Nice restaurant and bar. Other restaurants close by. Lovely spacious room with view on river. There is a lift. Coffee machine in room. Very friendly and helpful staff. I have to mention Tanya at reception going the extra mile with great, friendly service and kind assistance.

Everything was really amazing. If I must mention something here it is that the lady at the restaurant in the evening was not so friendly and that was all that was a little dissapointing.

we have stayed at the thon over several years staying at least twice a year. We don't take breakfast , so no comment. It was good to see some of the staff we are familiar with still there. All staff are very professional and receptive to guests needs. The location is ideal for both a maritime binge and any retail therapy you wish to indulge in. 1

A more varied main course menu, I have mentioned this over a long period of time, food is always good and we eat every night in the bistro however a more varied menu would be good.

The location is ideal. On the river adjacent to the Erasmus Bridge. Tram stop at the hotel front door. Walking distance to city center and many attractions like the EuroMast. Views from the riverside rooms are incredible. Breakfast was good, with a fine selections of items and kept stocked and fresh.

The rooms are a bit small, but clean and comfortable. The bathroom is a postage stamp, but the shower was great. The decor in the hallways was a bit dated (remodel coming soon I understand?). There is only one elevator, so if you are trying to get in/out at a busy time, it can take quite a while.

EXCELLENT LOCATION, CENTRAL TO MAIN SHOPPING CENTRE. TRAMS STOP OUTSIDE HOTEL SO IDEAL TO TRAVEL AROUND CITY. WE STAY AT THE THON AT LEAST 2/3 TIMES A YEAR, IT CERTIANLY MEETS OUR NEEDS, THE STAFF ARE EXCELLENT, SOME OF WHICH WE KNOW FROM OVER THE LAST FEW YEARS. THE FOOD IS GOOD AND THE OVERALL SERVICE IS OF A HIGH STANDARD.

As our visit centred on taking a river cruise the location was absolutely excellent & having a river view from our room was a huge bonus. Hotel is quickly accessible from Central Station by tram which stops outside. The room itself was comfortable & clean if a little short of space. Good storage though. All staff were very pleasant & helpful. Breakfast was a buffet with a very good choice of hot & cold food, pastries etc. but not cheap at €23 each.

I have stayed at this hotel several times prior to covid. this is my first visit since then and i knew what to expect in relation to the accommodation and facilities, and there were no surprises. as the high standards are still evident in relation to customer service and care. I would recommend the Thon Hotel to any one who wants an ideal location for shops and in particular the Maritime history as a place to stay where you will be looked after by an excellent staff team.

I have no comment other than a possible variation to the menu. The menu has remained the same over the several years I have been staying here. The quality of the food is good, however a variation would not go amiss.

Splashed out and had front facing room with balcony. Wonderful views of the river from two sides. Erasmus Bridge on the left and Cruise ship berth on the other. Breakfast running buffet, plenty of everything. Bistro/restaurant on the ground floor. A stones through from water taxi, water bus, trams and Spido cruises. Cafes, bars and other restaurants two minutes away. All very good and I tried a lot. I used trams and open day tickets for exploring the city and suburbs. every ten to fifteen minutes.

This turned out to be a great place to stay with easy walking access to several attractions and restaurants. The breakfast buffet was very good, providing a nice start to the day. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We also appreciated that there was a bar and restaurant available, since it was raining when we arrived and it saved a trip in the rain to eat.

The room was very, uh, "cozy." Since we didn't spend much time there it was OK, but I wish I would have taken advantage of offers to upgrade. And I would ask for a room with a view of the river instead of the courtyard if I stayed again!

Rooms with the river view are a great selection. Staff was quiet helpful and friendly at all times. Housekeeping staff was really good at their jobs. Great place to stay.

The mattress was a bit uncomfortable. Breakfast can do with a bit of variations specially when you have longer stays it get boring to have similar buffets everyday.
