We loved that the property is right on the beach, and liked that room six had a lot more privacy/ shelter from the road than a few of the other rooms on ground level. We also liked that we managed to get a carpark whereby we could see the truck from our room. I liked the layout of the room and the homely decor such as the woollen sheepskin rug and floating shelves. Randomly, loved how there were a pair of scissors in the kitchen drawer as a lot of places don’t have that. The kitchen basically had everything you’d need and we were given a little glass of milk from the lady at reception! I liked the pressure of the shower and how the toilet was separate from the bathroom.

I didn’t like how the shower curtain would stick to my body while having a shower.

Omg I absolutely LOVED everything. I loved how close my room was to the sea and listening to it all night. I love how the rooms where laid out and how they both connected to th bathroom and kitchen. bed had an actual thick duvet on it so was very cosey and warm. Nice and spacious, had a good sized balcony with comfy seats and a PERFECT view of the sea. Nice cafe round the corner for ya morning coffee literally 5min walk also close to town. And lastly the two ladies I dealt with were so kind and friendly. Definitely recommend 1000%

My morning coffee on the deck watching the surfers was lovely. The boardwalk was busy, which was lovely seeing everyone out and about and enjoying the sunshine. The bed was super comfy and the room was lovely and warm. The kitchen was a little dark and dated but had everything you needed, my friend stayed in another room which was completely different to ours and quite modern which leads me to believe they are currently upgrading some of the rooms. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. I would recommend staying here and would definitely stay here again.

Unfinished renovations, bathroom had a hole in the ceiling (which may have been a skylight) covered in what appears to be black cloth.

We stayed in a ground floor apartment. It has two rooms separated by the bathroom and kitchen spaces, surprisingly this works really well. It was nice to have a kitchen space with a stove, fridge and microwave which could be handy for us in the future. It has unobstructed access to the beach and boardwalk and probably a 1-2 min walk to the cafe for coffee. Close to CBD but far enough way to enjoy the peace and quiet. The staff were very pleasant to converse with. Highly recommended.

I am not sure if the extraction fans were working in the bathroom, as they were situated between rooms they don't have windows to get rid of the condensation. If they are working, they're really quiet and maybe a tad slow. I was also in a rush and didn't let front of house know. My bad.

Excellent location for our purpose as I could watch the waka ama races from my balcony. Everything was not too far away ie Pak n Save, Gas Stations, Lookout etc.

The spiders in the toilet and the bedroom. Due to the weather, there was a leak from the ceiling in both the toilet and bathroom. Kitchen was a tight squeeze but we managed to work in it, the facet tap would turn on and off by itself. the palm trees outside the room were in the way. I am not complaining, just pointing out things.

The view straight on to the beach was lovely - watched the sun come up and the bucket-list got another tick. The staff were amazing with a very reasonably priced little shop (cans of coke, bags of chips, beer and wine etc..) as the nearest shop is a good walk away.

Personal injury limited me to taxis and the shops being too far away. Having 3 people in the 4 person room also meant hot water was limited.

Well the best thing about this Motel is location, location, location, as it is almost right on the beach. It has a wood plank walkway between it and the beach which everyone uses for their morning walk/job so is a great way to start the day. We were on the second floor so the balcony had a great view of the ocean. Close proximity to walk to breakfast and dinner.

The location of this private motel was brilliant. You could hear/see the gentle waves on the beach. We were upstairs and therefore had all the privacy we needed. The view of the water and the far away cliffs allowed you to dream of being elsewhere. The space was very generous as was the kitchen and its facilities.

Everything was perfect. . .could have easily stayed for a longer period of time.

The location of this motel is great, fabulous views and direct access to the beach, easy walk into town. Comfortable bed and living area. Very well set up kitchen.

The rooms are well appointed, clean and tidy but in the unit we were in, the bathroom, toilet and kitchen ceilings are in need of repair as they are dropping chunks of plaster which was a nuisance especially in a food prep area.

Everything but was under the illusion you had a beach view from every room - the beach is a short walk from the units but if you want a view of the beach from your room book the upstairs units. Downstairs you have to stand on the BBQ table to see the beach

Everything was great except the view got to stare at people on the walkway that was entertaining though
