As we were boarding a flight from Hokitika to Christchurch the next day we required a place close to the airport for us and our son. The owners were very accomodating when we advised we may need a late check in and also were able to drop us at the airport in the morning as our son had to return very early to Franz Joseph for work. They also went out of their way to drop medication off back at the airport that had been forgotten before we flew. Totally recommend this motel!

Motel is a short drive from town or the beach on a quiet street. The host is super friendly and informative giving us ideas about things to do and places to eat. The motel room was a good size with a nice kitchenette and all the utensils you may require. Well stocked tea and coffee with milk supplied. An outside deck gave you the option to sit outside and enjoy the West Coast’s beautiful weather. Sky tv and a spa bath were a real treat as we do not have these at home. Shower had good pressure and plenty of hot water. This well price Motel is definitely worth staying at. Easy parking outside your room.

Nothing… I would never stay at another property in Hokitika. This is one that was genuinely welcoming of guests and their dogs

The motel was a walk away from the town and great to be off the main grid. Comfortable, spacious, clean and accessible parking. I also could wash my cycle after a dusty ride with outside hose on grass without a problem. Great stay. The motel owner showed us our room and facilities and I appreciated the privacy as no need to interact any further.

I guess the sunny side of the motel units would have been nicer but probably booked or more costly.

It had induction stove top in addition to the standard microwave which is better than some motels. The location was easy to find and only a short drive away from most things. Staff who checked us in was very informative.

The heater stopped working in the middle of the night so the room was a little cold. The hair dryer didn’t work either. There were some stray hairs on the bed and in the bathroom when we arrived but otherwise clean.

Travelling with our two dogs, booked last minute as weather was turning and we had previously planned to camp, great value, check in was efficient, guy was super lovely and accomodating, gave good recommendations for dinner. Perfect for somewhere to just crash for the night. Ecostore amenities and unpasteurised milk were a nice touch as extra amenities.

Shower was old and had some holes in the frame where a little spider lived. Super affordable accommodation though so kind of expected/really not a biggy.

Loved our stay here will definitely come back in the future it was perfect! I do however suggest the deck gets sanded or power washed as it was super slippery and some nets or blinds in the bathrooms would be super as you can still see figures of body's in the windows which is a little off putting.

The bed was brilliant. So comfortable. The spa was great. I used my kitchen to cook. They had everything plus large cups. I hate those small ones. Location was perfect. Tv had a great crime channel

Having to leave . Only 2 teabags for green tea. Im being picky because apparently I have to include things I didn't like, but really I like everything

We were able to talk to the host who was friendly and helpful. The unit was clean, quiet and comfortable. We would go back there again to stay but would make contact with the motel instead of going through a website of booking.com

We did not like the price we paid by using booking.com We could have stayed for a cheaper price if we had made contact with the motel.

The motel is in a quiet location, away from main road and railway line.

We booked a one-bedroom apartment and the photos on the website showed one bed in the living area and two beds in the bedroom. Our one-bedroom apartment did not have a bed in the living area and the sleeping arrangement was not the best for us. In future we will check with the motel owner that the photos on the website are accurate.
