Comfortable bed, nice view from room and from chairs in lawn outside. Breakfast was good. Host was friendly and helpful. Close to boat tours, beach and restaurants. The coastal walk at Kaikoura is nice, lots of seals and birds along a rocky coastline.

Nothing about place. Seas were somewhat rough so we opted out of Whale tour. Dolphin tour indicated that seas were moderate and so I chanced it and wife opted out again. Even with taking seas sickness pills, I still got sick as did about 10% of the people on the tour. If prone to seasickness, definitely take medicine and/or only go out if seas are calm.

A wonderful experience, fabulous hosts nothing was any trouble and they made us feel like part of the family. Would highly recommend staying at this property. Great views and handy location, just a short walk to town with numerous shops and restaurants that cater for all tastes. A good breakfast was included in our stay and it was a great start to the day, very enjoyable and a high standard of food provided to kick the day along.

Loved everything about Bendamere. Beautiful view (and amazing sunrise), the room was newly finished when we stayed and was very comfortable and well equipped. Good breakfast and great hosts. We accidentally left a coat and Julie went above and beyond to return it to us. Arrived before check in time after quite a long drive and could check in early. Highly recommend and hope to return one day!

Everything was great

The owner is like your best aunt. While having breakfast you get to know her and her family as well as everyone else staying there. The view from the apartment is stunning. Everything is well kept and maintained

As it’s often in Nee Zealand the walls are very thin and you can hear your neighbour on top of your apartment shuffling around in the middle of the night

The room was beautiful and very clean and the location was fabulous. Two minutes walk to all of the main shops and restaurants. You had breakfast in the main house which was delicious. Simple cereals, tea, coffee and orange juice with ham and cheese croissants. No big hot breakfast on offer, but all freshly made in front of us.

Breakfast was good and the views were the best ever

The only reason we mentioned the facilities were not excellent, as there was very little hanging space for clothes.

This was such a delightful surprise. I could’ve spent all day on the veranda in the peaceful backyard. The owners and staff were all lovely and so helpful and nice to chat with. The fruit salad at breakfast was the best I’ve ever had!

Very warm welcome from Julie our host. View from our room was truly amazing with a lovely balcony. Easy parking. Very enjoyable breakfast with other guests in the dining room and chance to share travel experiences. Short walk into town to access facilities. Lovely seafood barbecue by the seafront recommended by Julie.

the house , the garden, and the view over the bay, the hosts , all this were amazing good tips from our hosts and a very familiar feeling of being guest into the family house.

you must close the curtains on the room glass door when you're changing or coming from the bathroom if you don't like putting on a show.

Breathtaking views from the lovely room and gardens. Delicious breakfast with the best fresh fruit salad. Warm, comfortable and clean modern room. The best shower pressure we have experienced! Julie’s home cooked shortbread was so tasty.
