We stay here solely because of the pub which we love we can walk to it from our room

We have stayed here numerous times over the years the rooms are nice and clean and comfortable but rather small no complaints about that when they were cheaper and I do realize everything has got dearer but this motel more so than others have also noticed it's not so busy anymore maybe some winter deals to get people back 😊 there are deals everywhere in winter and we explore them all

Good value for the price! This is a good location if you’re staying in Kaikoura and have access to a car - not right in the midst of things but within walking distance to the beach and a short drive to restaurants, shops, and all the major sights. Staff were kind. Plenty of parking on-site. The on-site restaurant was actually really good and reasonably priced! We were pleasantly surprised.

Did not feel very private. Rooms were pretty basic but met our expectations based on the price point.

Large well equipped unit. The kitchen had everything we needed and we could get more supplies when needed. Comfortable bed. The balcony sitting out area had lovely views of the mountains. Even though it was on the roadside there was very little road noise. Only 1km into the main town with plenty of places to eat close by including a New World supermarket. Laundry was cheap $2 per wash and $2dry and you can hang clothes out if you prefer. There is a bbq area we didn’t use it.

Nothing it had everything we needed for a 3 night stop.

It was conveniently located and car park is in front of your room, which makes it a breeze to unload your stuff. The reception was largely responsive and attended to all our questions in a patient and professional manner. There was also a resident restaurant which served great food.

We wish to have some nice view overlooking the balcony of our room. It was overlooking some sort of an area for campervan.

We had a downstairs twin room that was away from the main road. It was clean, comfortable and great location for our two night stay.

The second night we got some noise from the Lobster tavern which is part of the same complex. A few lads pissed and loud which was a bit annoying.

Great location. Receptionist/ live-in manager very helpful and went out of her way to loan us her own airier for our washing. Restaurant/ bar on site very convenient and good food.

Lovely big room with balcony and everything you need, comfy bed and very little noise from neighbouring rooms

The Wi-Fi was very poor, on the main route so quite noisy for traffic at times, ear plugs worked a treat

Very clean rooms and quite spacious. Sofa very comfortable. House keeping was done daily. Lots of parking on site. Close to New World.

Bathroom fan a bit noisy at night, mattress a bit uncomfortable for me,

at the bar which is owned by the rooms, there was a huge difference between how the locals were treated and the visitors,ie raffles, we could not buy one, i have been there the last 4 years at the same date (the past 3 years no worries )but this year, na treated like crap

Clean, tidy and great location.

Just the shower was positioned really low in the bathroom. It was only just 5ft in height (feel it’s really low to be positioned) and my husband is 6.3ft in height ! That explains :D
