We were allowed to bring our dogs, which we appreciated. The bed was comfortable, although on the hard side (although this is the same for most hotel/motel beds) The sheets were lovely cotton. There was lovely new thick curtains in the front.

They were trying out some new towels, but they were terrible. I HATE microfibre, it just moves the water around, It doesnt actually dry you. Also the door out to the back and the window beside it did not have any window coverings which meant it let the light in too early and it woke us up a lot earlier than we would have liked. I also believe this would be very cold once winter came along.

I absolutely loved the bed super comfy! The staff are super lovely and communicated personally instead of via website which was actually just so nice provides you with a good way of communication and adds a homey "here if you need anything" feeling. Right across the road is a short walk to the beach so I got up made a hot chocolate and headed out for a beautiful sunrise!

There was a small indent in the flooring of the bathroom as you came in which due to my clumsiness I kept tripping on but it's honestly not that big of a deal can't really fault this accomodation other than that ☺️

There was no breakfast!!. We loved staying there, we did find the bed a bit too soft. Being old folk I was disappointed that I couldn't cook there, but understand that there is always someone who would abuse the amenity. Suggestion that you put a dome over your Shower, this preserves your paintwork in the bathroom and makes the shower warmer. The service was fantastic, thank you for a wonderful stay, during a stressful time for us.

Nothing, as you only had to ask and it was done or given. Worried about the Flax Bush on the Exit, due to the on coming traffic is not so visible, needs cutting back.

Parking was right outside room. The host was very friendly, and there were leaflets for nearby food places, including a couple of bottles of local beer and a mini bottle of wine. The bed was very comfortable and everything was clean. It was a 5 minute drive into the main part of Kaikoura. Note that if you book any tours they often get cancelled due to weather!

The hairdryer was broken, you could hear through the walls.

We stayed one night on our way traveling north and loved it so much we stayed here again on our way back south! This was a fantastic stay, great value for money, and one we'd recommend to anyone whether staying for only 1 night or 10 nights in Kaikoura. The hospitality of the owner was wonderful, with small yet impactful gestures such as putting the heater on to warm up our room perfectly in time for our arrival. An incredibly friendly and wonderful host! The rooms were very spacious, showers were warm with good pressure, beds very comfortable, and whole place felt clean and tidy - an extra bonus even of mountain views from the big sliding doors of the first room we had (Room 1). We will absolutely be back to stay here and think we have found our new favourite accommodation in Kaikoura!

If we had to pick anything as a downside (hard to do!) it might be the location, although this still worked perfectly for us with a car. Would be a bit of a walk into the main Kaikoura town + shops if you were on foot (approx 30 mins) but if you do have a car or don't mind a nice walk into town when you want to go then this place is still very worth the stay! Main supermarket is only a short walk away too (approx 10 min walk)

I like that it is near a fish and chips shop. And you can see the view of the mountain range closer than in the kaikoura center.

The location is a bit too far for people who doesn't have cars or just relying by walking (about 40min walk from railway station). Maybe, a silly suggestion, they might consider building a high deck as another amenity for people to see the sea in a higher perspective. Especially for viewing the sunrise, that would be great.

excellent comfortable bed, and excellent shower. place seemed warm, but couldn't quite see why as only a bar heater to use.

mugs and glasses were to high up, had to get my 6ft. husband to reach them; seemed odd as empty cupboards at floor level.. Microwave also too high up for comfortable use. soap containers in bathroom almost empty.

No problem booking. Place was lovely. Curtains cut down road noise Very good. Mobility shower was great and the added stool for showering was great. Bed was comfortable.

Maybe road noise but curtains helped with that. Due to where, the motel, was the noise was unavoidable. Thankfully the curtains cut it down.

Nice place. Quite considering its right next to main road. Close to fish and chips. Not far from town. Clean. Good parking. Awesome we could take our dog. Only little dissatisfaction was the tv was a bit bugged. Not a complaint, just an observation. Thank you for the lovely room and letting us bring our puppy.

The motel was very clean, the staff were very helpful, we were able to leave our bags at room before check in. Bazza noticed we did not have car did offer to drive us to centre on leaving the next day, but it was a nice day so we walked.

Nothing didn't we didn't like. But the motel is about 30 minutes walk from town centre if don't have vehicle.
