Location was everything, room on the Ground Floor, right by the sea. My husband loves the sound and smell of the sea. The King Bed, very comfortable, appreciate that when staying away from home. Room is spacious, has everything you need for a weekend stay. Cafe Encounter is a 30s walk to your right for that morning breakfast, Sudima is across from that for a memorable dinner and Mayfair Arts & Culture Centre 10s to your left, if your wanting to relax and watch a movie.

The bath was fantastic. And the room’s view was great.

Actually the classification of this property belongs MOTEL rather than HOTEL. Because of standards of hotel accommodation must have minimum requirements such as restaurant and customer service. But I figured out the property belongs to: by self- container which means no one assisted to your luggage at all. Therefore Booking website should clearly state this point that is very important for clients.

Across the road from the beach so it had a sea view across the hotel carpark. Recently refurbished and the bed was supremely comfortable. Basic cooking facilities though I didn't use them. It was good to have the bathtub. Handily next door to Encounter Kaikoura, which has a fantastic cafe and gift shop. There aren't a lot of eating places in the immediate vicinity of the hotel so it was great to have such a nice cafe next door.

The armchairs would have been comfortable if I could have worked out how to lower the back a little. I didn't see any instructions and ended up with neck pain as they were too upright.

The gentleman who checked us in was friendly and kind. He gave us a little bottle of milk for our room and we were upgraded too. The room was spacious, comfortable, clean, and well equipped to cook some simple meals. The toiletries provided were lovely, they smelt great! Location was ideal. Easy to walk into the town and get a rental bike, also lovely places to eat near by, and good distance from the seals. Great view when you walk to the front of the street too.

My only complaint would be that you have to be standing in the shower (directly under the spray) to adjust the temperature. So you cannot turn it on and find the right temperature before you get in. Also the door has a gap in it and the spray does hit through the door. It's easy enough to mop up the floor with the towel though. This really is a very very minor thing. We loved the white morph.

Very comfortable accommodation. Large spacious room, spotlessly clean and great amenities. Balcony was great although the 1st floor rooms are probably better than the ground floor

Our room was right on the main road through Kaikoura and the proximity of traffic may bothher some. If this is the case, request a room without a sea view.

Everything was just great.People were very friendly, the room was very clean and warm, location is excellent. Real value for money, we have been to Kaikoura many times , and usually stay in South Bay, this is the first time at the White Morph. Highly recommend it as a place to stay.

Wonderfully centered across from the MOST STUNNING VIEW! Watching the sunrise from that room will stay with me a long time. The spa bath was sensational (don’t have a bath at home) and the amenities were enough for a longer stay.

The spa bath function of bubbles was VERY loud. So loud that we were certain it was reverberating throughout the whole floor! So we didn’t end up using that function.

Clean and modern with a comfy bed. Central location so we could walk to restaurants. Being able to use the washing machines and a clothes line (not just a dryer) because we were traveling for 2 weeks.

Size of the room was average and the reception staff were dealing with something so that the welcome wasn't very attentive.

The location is great. Straight across the road to the sea and a few minutes walk to the shops and restaurants. The room was very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped, the shower was powerful and the bed was very comfortable. There was a balcony and sky TV as well.

The toilet was quite noisy.

The location could not be better. It was directly across the road from the beach. We had a stunning view of the ocean and coastal Kaikoura range. Restaurants and shops were walking distance away. It was also a nice touch that the hotel was so generous with the little extras - more tea, coffee (plunger, pods, and instant!), and hot chocolate than we could get through.

We only stayed one night!
