Very easy to find and close to the main street of Kaikoura. The carpark is fantastic. There’s parking as you arrive in the property and a courtyard parking within the center of the units, well off and not visible from the main road. Great for security. Very clean and tidy unit. Plenty of space to comfortably put our belongings. The bed was also comfortable. Shower worked well with good temperature control. Kitchenette is well laid out and had the basics (kettle, toaster, pots/lids, cutting knife, peeler, cutlery, measuring jug, plates/bows, glasses/mugs, etc). Had a two burner electric hob and microwave.

Only thing that would have been handy was a pan and a colander for cooking. Sky TV wasn’t working, but that wasn’t a deal breaker for us. Other than that it was great for our one night stay.

Our unit was roomy, clean and had everything we needed. The heat pump and electric blankets kept us warm, as we were there in the middle of winter. It was a 5 minute walk down a pedestrian pathway to the town centre with its shops and restaurants.

It may not be possible due to the amount of units, but a specific parking spot for each car would have been good. We were in a corner unit and because of how cars were parked, if we had parked in front of ours, we would have completely blocked someone in. Nobody needs someone knocking you up because they want to leave early! There was another parking spot a little further away, so not a big issue. Unless of course you get blocked in!!

Unit 5 two-bedroom. Quite new interior. Clean. Not many units occupied this time of week/year so parking was easy. Might be very tricky parking if all units full. Bed soft but ok. Double bedroom not much space for bags but managed. In second bedroom 2 single beds. Child occupied one so space for bags if we had needed. Bathroom spacious and great shower. TV in both bedrooms and living room. Living room on Sky but not bedrooms. A single passive wall heater (no fan). Unit took ages to warm such that we all went to bed as felt cold. Pool not open in Winter which was fine. Could hear traffic but didn't bother us at all.

Unit a little cold. No winter sun and only wall heater with no fan.

This was our second time staying here, good location and very comfortable. It's always very nice to have a kitchen, a large room and bathroom, and a very comfy bed. Love this place, will definitely be back!

Not a big deal at all, but I was a little surprised to see that the spa bath is out of order or turned off now. Last time it was operational and nice to have after a cold ocean swim. "Spa" was also listed in the room name. I'm not sure if it was just our room and temporary, but I hope they fix them or turn them back on at some point.

I loved that the accomodation had an information book which included advice on who to call if medical assistance was required. Turns out we needed this info and it made the situation less stressful. We also appreciated the lady on reception who changed our room to the ground floor. That was really thoughtful as my parents are in the 80’s and it would have been difficult going up and down the stairs. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Exactly what you need in a motel which New Zealand seem to excel in. It’s a short safe walk to the main area in Kaikōura town and the Whaleway station which is why we stayed there. Clean and Comfortable accommodation/lounge TV//WiFi/ bedrooms/bathroom shower. Well set up laundry facilities..welcome when you’re travelling. On-site safe parking. Lots of excellent bars and dining venues nearby too.

Well located motel, a short stroll from the main shopping area and restaurants. 15 minute walk to the Whale Watching site. Two pan hob and microwave so can cook a light meal, though we didn’t bother! Air conditioning unit. Comfy bed. Easy parking. Our room had a balcony overlooking a park. Small swimming pool though we didn’t make use of that either but would be great on a hot day!

Nothing!

Beautiful, spacious, and clean room. Spa bath was Devine. Everything you need is in your room, along with a spacious deck area. Information about the hotel, your room, and restaurants nearby, which has the best location right by town. We wish we stayed here for 2 nights as the motel was very comfortable and the reception lady was friendly. We enjoyed our stay here the most over the 7 days we were traveling from christchurch to wellington. We didn't get to try the pool, but that also looked good, but we had just come from Hanmer Springs. We will definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

There is a "no seafood/strong odour foods allowed in the room". Which is understandable but a little hard when we stopped here for the crayfish and after $132 spent on a half a cray and partner couldn't eat it all we didnt want to waste it so we left it in the car to be finished later. Just a little inconvenient when we know Kaikoura as the go to for seafood. Definitely wouldn't put me off next time though, we'll just have to eat all the seafood we get at the restaurant.

Very clean and comfortable ideal for a 2 night stay. The ownere had put the heating on before our arrival so the apartment was nice and warm

Whilst I understand want to limit ooking of food with odour that lingers the list of what we coudnt cook and the possible extra rental costs was a little off putting.

No Complaints at all - one night stay only so not much to say other than the weather was atrocious and like winter but very good heating in the unit and a bonus was it had a separate bedroom despite being a "studio"

Nothing really . Maybe we should have gone for a ground floor unit ( we are in our mid 70's ). However for a one night stay was not a major issue.
