The view from our cabin to the mountains was stunning. Pool and hot tubs lovely. 10 minute walk to town an easy stroll.

Cabins without bathrooms and no sheltered walkway to the communal facilities could be really challenging in wet weather. Having some communal cutlery, crockery, cooking pans and utensils could be handy for those who are not travelling with these. Hiring is ok but you don’t realise that option until after the office is closed. Thought it was really close to the railway so we could walk to our accommodation from the train. While this is possible, about 20 minutes, it is challenging with luggage. Just fyi. The local shuttle service was handy to overcome this.

The staff were incredibly accommodating and friendly. The whole park was clean and tidy with amazing views into the mountains. We had room 21 which was downstairs and we could hear running about upstairs but all was quiet after 9 pm. The location was perfect for us as we had no car but could walk everywhere. There were lots of cafes/shops/ restaurants nearby making things very easy. The station and Whalewatch were 10 to 15 mins walk away. Kaikoura itself is beautiful and lots of wonderful walking to do there, especially around the peninsula.The park had a range of camping, cabins and camper vans. I would happily return again.

The WiFi wasn't great and would drop out quite easily especially in the evening. This seems to be common in New Zealand so nothing particularly bad about the Alpine Park.

Good price quality (we had a little cabin, which was nice). Parking in front of the cabin You had to pay for plates & cooking equipment, but they were good quality Staff was very friendly.

Generally it was very clean, but since it is a very large camping as well and there were lots of people, it (kitchen & showers) could be dirty at times. Not enough fridges in the kitchen Beds are too soft - you fall right to the bottom. I know its a thing in NZ, but these ones were particularly bad …

Staff were SO friendly on arrival and departure. Room was exceptional for four of us, and we were very warm and comfortable. Didn't use the hot tubs or pool, but they looked great. Kitchen facilities were superb- never stayed in a hotel that has supplied a rice cooker before and it was much appreciated! Very handy location for whale watching and exploring the town. Great wi-fi, made doing a little bit of work handy. We LOVED this place and our room.

Taking the suitcases up and down the stairs took effort after a hard day of travelling, but everything else more than made up for it

Upon arrival (in the dark after a long day of driving) the staff were so lovely and quick with the check in, that I was in my room within no time. My room was spacious, with comfortable bedding and a good working heater (there was also an electric blanket if you prefer that). Shower was nice and warm with good pressure and it had shelves to put your body wash, shaver etc. The room was very clean and the kitchen appliances worked well. As I arrived before 20:30, I was able to relax in the hot tubs, which were beautiful. The views of the mountains in the morning from being on level 2 were gorgeous.

It took a few hours before it would let the join the wifi, it kept saying the password was wrong, but it wasn’t because it later worked. This wasn’t too much of an issue because I have an unlimited data sim, but it meant I was unable to use the netflix on my tv, so instead just watched on my phone.

Didn't know what to expect as this was my first time here. Really good with communication and when we arrived we found it easy to locate our cabin. It was absolutely spotless and comfy for me and my 2 kids. We woke up to the beautiful mountain snow view 😍 the shared kitchen, showers and bathrooms were also very clean and tidy! Not to mention the perks of having a pool and spa. My kids and I enjoyed our stay and have recommended it to family and friends.

On our second night we had neighbours that were noisy and smoking - we had our bedroom window open and it filled with smoke where our baby was sleeping so we had to move him out and shut all the windows. It was really hot we found it hard to sleep - air con would be a great addition… or another fan as we only had one and the kids had it on a stool right in their faces all night! Wasn’t much help for us or the baby in the lounge. Other than that it was a lovely stay and I’m sure it is usually colder and that was not the usual temp most the year being close to the mountains!

Amazing view of the mountains from the room! Bed was comfy, toilets were clean and the showers were really good! Hot tub was 10/10, staff were lovely. Love the dishsoap dispensers in the kitchen!! Such a great idea

The room was a little small, there wasn't much space, and the walls were literally just the exposed wood. I don't think the room and amenities reflected the price (but I don't run a business) And I think it would be cool to have some lights near the hot tubs! It's fine without of course, just pretty dark

The campground is well kept up, the beds in the cabins (we spent two nights in two different cabins) were comfortable and the place was very quiet at night. The hot tubs were a nice plus. We did not make use of the kitchen but it seemed to be well equipped. The staff were friendly and allowed us to move in very quickly to the second cabin (as we had only booked one night initially). There are a number of restaurants within walking distance, and the bakery right next door has good coffee and great cheese scones, among many other things.

A beautiful location, surrounded by mountains - we had fantastic views from the picnic bench outside of our cabin and you're just a 10 minute walk from the centre of town. The private cabins are private, clean and comfortable. They're basic, but perfectly in line with what you'd expect for the price. We were very happy with our stay and the shared facilities (bathroom and kitchen) are spotless. The lady working on reception when we checked in was also incredibly friendly and helpful.

It wasn't a problem for us, but a head's up that a rental fee is required for any crockery / pans etc. In the rooms without an ensuite, towels also aren't provided - again, it wasn't a problem for us, but it's worth being aware of!
