Location to Pier Hotel and beachfront was excellent. Make sure you book Pier Hotel for meals!! Various walking tracks not too far either. Little balcony with table and chairs with view to the water. Very comfortable bed and very clean. Owners exceptionally helpful, particularly with advice and use of their own facilities for cooking crayfish and freezing fresh caught fish. Kitchenette has sink, microwave and small fridge but there is also BBQ facilities for cooking outside in a covered area with picnic table on front lawn.

Location is few kms from shops and fishing charters on South Bay (other side of peninsula). This is 100% fine if you have own transport.

It was a bright and welcoming space with a back patio and partial view of the water and mountains. The room was quiet and beds comfortable (mattresses are firm). We needed a handicap accessible unit, and our room had all the right amenities: an open bathroom with roll-in shower, shower stool, and grab bars in appropriate places. Pretty flowers around the property make you feel like you’re staying at someone’s house!

These were minor things, but something to consider if you’re in a wheelchair: if the parking lot is full, there’s only about 3 ft between each car and between the last car and building. There is also a low door threshold to manage (about 2 inches). I was able to maneuver around these things on a knee scooter, but they would be more challenging in a wheelchair.

Tony & Alex are prefect host for the Motel. They were very helpful & friendly throughout our stays at Admiral Court Motel Kaikoura, Thanks to Tony, we had a delicious crayfish (lobsters) dinner. Our Standard Studio with Queen and Single Beds is spacious, kitchen well equipped with cooking stoves & a big fridge, toilet is big & equipped with handicap seat & handles, the rooms are clean daily. We have the best sea view & Kaikōura snowy Mountain Ranges from our room. Thanks to Tony & Alex we have a memorial holiday at Kaikōura.

We loved everything about this property. The people who run it are wonderful, they let us drop our bags when we arrived early, the room was spacious, clean and homey and the location was fantastic, whilst a little bit out of the centre of Kaikoura we personally loved that because the view and the pub across the road were 10/10. Washing facilities were excellent and they even gave us a lift to town which they didn’t need to do but it was so appreciated. We will be back 100%

We really enjoyed our stay at the motel. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The motel was quite a distance from the bus stop ( we were travelling by Intercity Bus) and they offered to drive us to the bus stop for our departure which was so welcomed. They also drove us to the grocery store to get some groceries for meals. They also had sent us an email saying that they would pick us up at the bus stop when we arrived but there was done sort of a glitch for we did not receive the email. They are very conscientious hosts to say the least. The property is very well maintained and our stay was very comfortable.

We really enjoyed our stay. The location os right across the road from a nice restaurant at the Pier hotel, which conveniently has a playground and trampoline for kids. The room and motel were clean and well maintained. The lady owner was nice. The room and bathroom were spacious.

The only point of concern for me was the ashtrays outside each room, which could mean there may be people smoking outside your room. I mentioned this at checkin, and the owner assured us that there was no one booked next door. She also removed the ashtrays from the outside tables. In the end, it was not at all an issue, and we did not smell any smoke. I appreciated the gesture by the owner very much.

location next to the pier hotel is brilliant (best place for crayfish dinner in Kaikoura and always busy). Beds were super comfortable and the overall facilities are great. Hosts were extremely friendly and accomodating.

Nothing really. Could have been a bit cheaper for the very small room I had (and I was the only guest in the motel that night) - but a minor thing compared to the location and facilities.

This little motel is very clean and tidy and much better than the price suggests. Our room was the most basic (no kitchen facilities) but still had plates, wine glasses etc and kettle and toaster. Closest motel to the peninsula to view the amazing wildlife and directly across the street from a very nice hotel.

Beautiful unit, with an amazing view of the ocean and the mountains, close to pathways and restaurants, on a quiet stretch of the Parade. The bed was comfortable, the shower was good, and the kitchen was clean and wrll-equipped. The hosts were friendly and helpful. I can strongly recommend this motel.

It was all good.

This has to be one of the nicest well looked after motels we have stayed at in awhile. It smelt fresh from the moment we walked in. The owners are super lovely and really helpful with everything you need and about the area. Comfortable units with comfortable beds. We definitely want to come stay again.
