We stayed in the upper apartment, it was plenty big enough for us. The free breakfast was in abundance but we weren't breakfast eaters so was surplus to our requirements. But a great touch for those that are. The view was outstanding. Plenty of bed choices with 4 rooms. We loved being out of town which Is where this apartment is located.

A communication error out of the owners control was a bit frustrating but a call to Stephen had it sorted out in a flash. Stephen was extremely helpful when required.

Room was huge! Bed was also huge and very comfortable. Room was warm, electric blankets and wall heater. Bathroom large, hot water and good water pressure from shower. The shared spaces were also very big. Everything we needed in the kitchen - all utensils, crockery etc. A few sofas, lots of dining room space, TV, and books and games available plus the table tennis. Balcony wrapped around the building and had a great view of surrounding area. Easy to get to Kaikoura town if you have a car. Plus we were the only people there which was awesome!

Continental breakfast was simple, maybe some yogurt or fruit juice would have been a nice addition, but no real complaints as it was a great place to stay!

Accommodation was very clean and comfortable. Beds were good quality and bedding good too. There were some good walks nearby.

Wifi was very hit and miss on the Wednesday night. We couldn’t use it as it had gone offline. We were the only guests there so couldn’t ask how to solve problem and couldn’t message either. Property was on a vey lovely estate but unfortunately I hadn’t realised how far from Centre it was. We had come from Christchurch by bus so I would say a car is a must.

We had a warm welcome from Stephen and Mary on arrival. Mary showed us all the facilities and explained about breakfast arrangements and use of the kitchen which was communal. Our room was very comfortable and we also made use of the communal games room where table tennis was available and many board games and books. We liked the social aspect and inclusivity of the accommodation. When we left we had a problem setting up our navigation system and Mary spent quite a long time trying to help us. You may be glad to know, Mary, that it did start working again as we approached Christchurch! There are amazing views of the mountains from the lodge.

We had the whole place for ourserlves. The rooms was comfy, smart tv, towels and bed were amazing as you could move your body up and down and it had electric blankets. Brekkie was complete, ac all around the place ping pong in the living room and many books for a quiet night.

It would have been a nice touch to be upgraded as we were the only ones in the house, but it is ok! We loced it and we are definitely coming back next time.

The property is set up to be user-friendly for disabled people, so access is easy and the facilities are spotless. The shared kitchen/dining/lounge is large, sunny and fully equipped for preparing and serving all types of meals, so you can eat in or dine out. A continental breakfast and tea/coffee anytime is provided. The location on the edge of the golf course and on the Kaikoura cycle trail is peaceful and convenient; just a short drive to the beach. I would definitely stay here again.

A cool and unique place! Our beds had remote controls to adjust their position, which was fun. The room had direct access to the outside through a panoramic window – very convenient. There was also a large shared kitchen with everything you might need. Overall, great value for money – free parking available, all the essentials covered. No downsides!

It was located on a beautiful golf resort , so you could watch them playing. Clean and easy access , kitchen shared area was good and clean.

There was what appeared as a wilding garden with a pathway cut through the outside. But no way of knowing if we could access this or not. As not directly accessed from the rear. But off the golf road.

Very nice location in a quiet area, a 5-minutes drive from Kaikoura town centre. Close to the beach which is nice for a walk. All is very clean and new. We felt very comfortable from the first moment. Also the hosts were very friendly. Good to know for others: Breakfast is not served but is self-service in the kitchen facilities - coffee/tea, cereals, toast, honey/jam. There is a fridge in the kitchen where you can store stuff which you bring on your own.

It was a surprise to have a bathroom for a disabled person. Everything is fine at the accommodation but just felt like we are staying in an aged care facility 😜

The bathroom gets wet every time after we have a shower. I need to be extra careful not to slip.
