My stay was very enjoyable. The room was spacious with amazing views, and the dinner options were both spectacular and generally healthy. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the gym facilities were decent. While I would have appreciated a location closer to the train station, the central spot was convenient overall.

There were a couple of minor issues: a slight smell in the bathroom on the first day and water spilling from the bathtub if drained too quickly. Despite these, it was a great stay.

The hotel is well located, it takes a 15 minute walk to the main street of Halden. In addition to the good breakfast the price every day included a tasty dinner, as well.

The beds are rather uncomfortable: we had two single beds arranged close to each other, but the beds were not fixed and this could even cause a nasty accident during the night (i.e. falling between the two beds). I would recommend using firmly attached single beds, to avoid problems.

The hotel staff were kind, friendly, and accommodating. With a friendly welcome, we were given our room ahead of time on our arrival. The homey decor, comfortable couches, and decor was instantly welcoming exuding hygge. The generous and delicious home cooked breakfast, fikka, and dinner complete the experience. Thank you so much for a memorable stay in Halden.

The evening meal was very good and the staff who served was very nice and made the guests feel comfortable

I found the room a bit cold and despite it being June 9-10 I felt cold in the bed at nighttime. Perhaps the blanket was not warm enough! It could be that I was also a bit cold myself and outside it was raining!

The staff was wonderful and accommodating. The coffee and cake,, evening meal and breakfast were all very good with lots of variety of food choices and again the staff ovrseeing the meals were very hard working. Just a delightful place to stay.

Our room was close to the main street so it was quite noisy, lack of seedless bread options for breakfast.

The rooms were sparkling clean, the staff was friendly, and both breakfast and dinner were excellent.

The evening meal and breakfast buffet were bountiful and delicious. We really enjoyed them!

It is in a residential neighbourhood. Luckily Halden is very small but there is not much around the hotal
