The historical building created a special atmosphere and the staff was very welcoming. We also loved the delicious choice offered at breakfast. The rooms were clean and comfortable.

Nothing major. We had to get the top mattress removed from our bed because it was too soft for our backs. The staff was very understanding and they removed the mattress from the room and the bed was very comfortable afterwards. Also, there was somewhat limited space to place our clothes.

Very nice historic hotel, close to Stavanger but also to the fjord and hikes. Breakfast (with candle light!) was really good too and the staff is kind and helpful.

Our room (twin) had two separate beds far from each other in an oddly shaped room, the tv in the middle but both of us could’t watch it from our own beds. Also no closet or wardrobe, all your bags and clothes are just laying around on the carpet, which I didn’t like.

What a wonderful family run hotel with great history and charm... super kind, friendly, helpful staff made me feel very welcome. As a solo traveller, this is really appreciated. I arrived extremely cold after a long day's ride on a motorbike, so the en suite with a bath and underfloor heating was absolute heaven (room 300)! The super comfy bed and quiet location meant a wonderfully good night's sleep...breakfast was plentiful and very tasty.

We liked everything about the hotel. The room was clean and spacious. There was a fan in the room which was very welcome due to the warm temperature. We didn't eat an evening meal at the hotel, but the breakfast was very good. We would definitely recommend and would stay again if ever in the area.

There really wasn't anything that we disliked apart from the rain, but the hotel can't be held responsible for the weather 😀

Great hotel location — only 20 minutes from Stavanger and about 15 from Sandnes. It's close to most activities in the Stavanger area. The staff were excellent, and breakfast included boiled and cooked eggs, fresh bread, fruits, and jams. The hotel also serves a nice dinner in the evening.

Dinner was a bit pricey compared to other options.

Breakfast was excellent. The setting was peaceful, the property beautiful and the staff very helpful. It was a wonderful place to stay at the end of our 4 week trip driving around Norway, and to rest up for follow-on travel. Room was large with a sofa and table. The evening meal at the restaurant (for an additional price) was top notch.

They advertised laundry available for an additional cost. The night clerk did not think there was such a service. The next day the clerk was able to arrange. I expected it to be pricey, but having laundry done was very expensive.

It’s a great authentic place with very good and quality breakfast. The staff were very kind, they even offered us a bigger room on the ground floor because we had a dog. As a bonus, they have electric car chargers that you can use for free.

Very pretty buildings, the old-fashioned decoration matched their historic aspect. Extremely friendly and helpful staff! Clean, quiet (our room was not facing the road) and well furnished. Tasty breakfast!

Weird arrangement of mattress on top of a sofa?! Didn’t really feel like a bed, under sheets were too short.

It has a lovely traditional farmhouse feel. The rooms are comfortable and the staff really friendly and professional. We had a superb dinner and the breakfast was excellent. Easy to find with plenty of parking.

We can’t find fault with anything.
