The location is perfect. We got a taxi from the airport but there’s no need. Buses and trains terminate about 200m from the hotel. It’s close to just about everything and all the tourist buses to all the major attractions stop at the hotel to pick up and drop off. The room was clean with great views and the bed was extremely comfy.

The website shows a photo of a pool but there isn’t one. There is a small gym and a sauna with floor to ceiling windows giving great views over the town as far as the mountains in the distance. Also, the bar and restaurant are eye wateringly expensive. £14.00 for a bottle of Bulmers cider as an example.

My sister and I like the location. Easy to get to places that we wanted to visit. We were given a nice room with double bed, although I requested from my booking to have twin beds. The room was clean and beautiful. The mattress was firm, which I like. The bathroom was clean. We were given a bathtub with a power shower and a mini screen. Not too my liking because I find it to be old fashioned. Most hotels nowadays have showers installed. We then proceed to ask for a room change and the hotel gave us a room with my original request of twin beds and a shower bathroom. The hotel receptionist was super efficient and attentive. Well done.

What we didn't like was the bathtub/showers that was assigned to us. The reason being is that the small screen was not fixed and when you showered, water spilled over to the outside tiles. It is not efficient at all. Room 661 was perfect except for the bathroom. I would suggest a refurbishment and install a shower room in the future.

Location is excellent. 2 minutes walk to all major shopping and harbour area. Great view over pond. Bus stop for airport transfers is directly outside hotel on Olav 5 (road).

We were charged for using mini bar for 6 soft drinks that we never had. No guidance in room or from reception that only water was complimentary. We opened jar of jelly sweets (candy) and ate them. We were charged for those, too. Happy to pay for confectionary but we were using mini bar to cool our own bought soft drinks. When I told reception at check out that we had not used the hotel soft drinks, only our own, the man did say not to worry and that the soft drinks (amounting to £30 - £40) would be refunded. Food good in hotel but breakfast buffet food could have and should have been hotter.

There are some security concerns regarding the actual room itself. The doors do not always automatically lock so I always had to ensure it was locked (even after shutting the door and waiting, the door would not lock and it was open - you would have to either deadbolt or hold the card). Perhaps this is intentional, but should have been explained to me at the front desk as this is not common for other hotels. I had booked for a double bed but the bed had two single duvet covers. I had to ask for a double duvet to be delivered. Windows were not tall - view was a bit obstructed as a result.

Absolutely stunning lakeside views and perfectly situated within very easy walking distance of the railway station and the beating heart of Stavanger. The staff were exceptional especially the receptionist on duty when we arrived who ensured that our room was perfect for our romantic getaway by changing the room (which was not which we had originally booked) without any charge and going the extra mile to ensure that our break was the best she could make it! Breakfast was superb and the staff very knowledgeable about allergens. A wonderful variety to suit all dietary requirements set us up for the day and a wonderful breakfast is absolutely essential for exploring the town of Stavanger and surrounding fjords. The Stavanger team exceeded all our expectations of hospitality, comfort and dining experience and are to be highly recommended! They truly care about every little detail to Make your stay perfect - thank you to all for looking after us so well 👏🏽🤩😍

Central location but quiet - the triple glazed windows do their job. Comfy bed. Excellent breakfast spread with everything you’d want. Front desk staff very friendly.

The house keeping/ cleaning staff are either over worked or not doing their job. We were initially given a room with dirty windows, stains and dust everywhere. Front desk helpfully moved us, just to see a similar issue the day after. Cleaning staff entered our room, took the bin out and the shower mat. No replacement, no making the bed, no vacuuming. Wouldn’t be bothered by this, however for the price point you pay these are basic services. Parking a bit tricky as there’s only taxi and bus in front of the hotel. There’s paid parking behind at V. Very clean very immaculate lovely breakfast too many mistakes but took complaints very well. Helped to rectify but there were many issues

No parking. (But we knew that going jn) Didn't put our 2 rooms next to each other despite promises they would and booking ahead at midnight with 5 kids they denied we'd asked said they were full. No cot for 18mths year old when we arrived at midnight with kids but they promised it was in there as we went into the lift. Warmly said restaurant was open when we checked in but it was closed entire stay. Woman hung up on me on phone in reception at £1.70 per minute international call because I asked if she could understand me (before we arrived i wanted to check some stuff). The usb sockets almost all didn't work and one of the room had a very broken door frame (the chain had been kicked in I think)

More detailed instructions on the location of parking and directions to get to the hotel from the parking would have been helpful. Also the fitness centre is very pleasant, however the free weights available at the lower weights was lacking. The smallest weight available was 4kg and then there was one 6kg weight and then it jumped to 8kg. There needs to be a better selection of 2-8 kg options, especially since there are so many available at the heavy end.

I loved the breakfast -better than most of the cities in Europe-keep it up! I liked and appreciated having umbrellas for the guest and I forgot my phone charger -staff was so kind to lend me a charger- excellent. One feels welcomed and taken care of when these services are performed and available. The staff were very friendly- once again better(friendlier) than most hotels in Europe.

The restaurant food could improve a bit and the price was a bit too high. I bought a choclate at the desk -wow this was rather expensive! Maybe have a chocolate machine in the foyer? I had to ask for normal coffee,because there was only decaf in my room -I hate decaf.

I had a wonderful stay at the Radisson Blu Atlantic Hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, even storing my luggage before check-in and after check-out. The gym and sauna were clean and comfortable. The restaurant's interior design was beautiful, and we loved everything we ordered. We also enjoyed their selection of local beers. Additionally, our room had a great view of the lake, which made our stay even more special. Highly recommended!

The only thing we didn't like was having to leave!
