Nice and quiet. Everything works just fine and the view from the top floor is great. Beds are very comfortable. The breakfast was also very nice.

It is a little bit dated. Didn’t find this bad in any way and it didn’t cause us any trouble or annoyance at all because it was very comfortable but looks a bit old that’s all. Parking for first timers might be a bit of trouble. It’s a big maze with some street construction when we went and finding the closer gate was a challenge when we arrived at night. Google won’t help much. It would be great if the hotel provides a simple map to guide guests.

Close to the harbour, convenient for cruises, and surrounded by nice restaurants. Nice hotel, provided you have a room in the back. Excellent breakfast, with various choices. Secured paying parking nearby.

The first night out of two, a Saturday Constitution Day for Norway, we were assigned a room giving toward main street Løkkeveien. It was so noisy with traffic, specially motorcycles, and people down there, we didn't have a good sleep. However, after mentioning it to the reception the following morning, we got an excellent room in the back area.

Excellent breakfast. Widest selection I have ever seen (yes, really!), including 3 types of herring (of course), but everything from ginger energy shot to chia starter, pancakes with home made jams and gluten free toast. Don't be late: end of breakfast means the curtain closes! Brilliant view (book rooms 'with a view' and watch the sunrise over the town and the fjord). Very central location, everywhere important is walkable from Gamle Stavanger (old town) to Oil Museum. Great 14th bar, (book in week or queue on Saturdays).

No tissues in room (a bit unusual for Norway); no free biscuits (less unusual, but better bring your own).

A beautiful hotel in the centre of the city. We loved the breakfast and the Superior room with a nice view, but not on the 13th floor.

On the 14th floor, there is a gym. And if in the morning after 6:00 someone starts with the treadmill, then there is a sound in the room of a pneumatic device (boom boom boom) and that for more then one hour with some pauses. So DON’T accept a room in the 13th floor. And ask for another room. Bathroom needs an update, for sure.

We stayed at several big hotels during our trip to Norway, but this was the best one. We traveled with our daughter, so always needed a room with three beds. Most places just used a futon-type couch that converted into a bed, usually with a very thin, hard mattress. The Clarion in Stavanger actually gave our daughter a single bed with a comfy mattress and great bedding. The beds generally were the best ones we slept in during our stay. Also very helpful staff who knew the area and could recommend local places to eat, they also made space for us to store our luggage even though their usual holding space was unavailable. Awesome breakfast buffet too!

• Very central location - minutes away from the bus / train station as well as other city centre areas, including the harbour. • Excellent breakfast - tasty food, all fresh. • Friendly staff - everyone was helpful, smiling, always happy to help. • Heated bathroom floor - got rid of water on the floor quickly.

• Did not like the socket in the bathroom - was way too high for comfortable use for shavers / electric toothbrushes.

Location was good, just a few minutes walk to the harbour. Breakfast was great. Their kitchen is good!

Music at the entrance when checking in was too laud. Even though we booked for 3 people, the 3rd sofa bed was not prepared and extra towel were missing. No tissue paper provided in the room.

Hotel staff was absolutely amazing. We loved the location for walking to the old town and Gamle. Public transportation stopped in front of Hotel. We hiked Pulput Rock and the bus we booked to take us to the trailhead pick us and dropped us off right across from the hotel. The breakfast selection was huge and plentiful. The rooms were clean and updated. I would totally stay there again

A quick one night stop that has left a very good impression. Stian the receptionist was welcoming polite and very helpful as we arrived let. He gave useful tips for our hike the next day. Bed was very comfy, Shower - hot and powerful. And the most amazing part- Breakfast. All staff throughout the hotel were very warm and pleasant. We will definitely return if the opportunity arises. We stayed here as a family of four. We enjoyed everything from the excellent location to the comfy mega sized pillows. The breakfast was great with plenty of choices. The view from the bar on the top floor was spectacular. The gym was well equipped with the best view as well. Special mentions go to the friendly and beautiful hotel staff members at the reception and the hardworking ladies at the breakfast restaurant. The bonus point goes to Ritual brand toiletries - what a treat.
