This Tierra Viva property is tucked away in a scenic and tranquil location about 15 minutes by road from Urubamba town. The views of the surrounding mountains and valley from practically anywhere on the property are spectacular, and the landscaping has been beautifully and naturally integrated. The rooms were typically elegant, spacious and comfortable like all Tierra Viva properties. The staff were absolutely wonderful - pleasant, kind, and attentive to all our needs and requests - and really made our stay exceptional. The in-house Suno restaurant had a wide variety of tasty options for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and the staff were excellent.

Everything was A+++. The only thing to be aware of is that the property is in a rural location that's about 15 minutes by road away from the closest urban centers of Urubamba and Ollantaytambo, and a taxi ride costs S/25 each way. There aren't any other restaurants or shops within easy walking distance.

We stayed for 2 nights in this hotel and it was one of the best hotels we had in our 14 day trip in Peru. The hotel is not located in the centre of Urubamba which we loved as it is set in a quite location near the river and had amazing mountain views all around. Rooms are vey spacious with beautiful décor, comfortable beds with views of the garden and mountains. Food during breakfast and dinner was really good and there's many options to choose from. All employees were very nice and helpful.

My husband and I loved our stay in Tierra Viva. The views from the surrounding mountains are beautiful. Staff is super friendly and always ready to help. Food was delicious; both the breakfast menu and the restaurant menu. Rooms are so spacious and well decorated. We loved the green areas where you can chill in hammocks, outdoor beds, and sit around the fireplace. Mind the location is not walkable distance from the closest town which is Urubamba; you must take a taxi to get you there. This is a great stay if you want to relax for some days after the high-pace touristic days.

The facilities were amazing !! The bed was very comfortable, the food in the restaurant was good. We couldn’t enjoy of the breakfast buffet because we had to leave early for a trip, but the staff prepared our breakfast in a bag to take away, really appreciated it.

It was a bit annoying they said the place is 50minutes from cusco on the website when it is actually about 2 hrs

It is a beautifully maintained property in Sacred Valley. Staff were incredibly kind, caring and attentive, preparing my to-go breakfast at 4:30 am and trying to help me in any way they can. I also loved the massage and jacuzzi - so relaxing and tranquil and beautifully presented! An oasis to rest and get ready before my 4-day Inca Trail hike.

Fantastic place. Staff was very helpful and friendly- especially the reception staff. Clean rooms with big comfortable beds. Highly recommend.

It was absolutely beautiful! cute design and nice amenities like hammocks, fire pit, and spa. We had just finished a 4 day trek so we just wanted to relax and it was the perfect place to do so.

I wish they thought more about sustainability and single use plastic use. They only offered small single use bottles which was disappointing. I stayed at other hotels in Peru that offered filtered water to fill up reusable bottles, which seems like a much better / very doable option for a resort chain this size. Also the jacuzzi cost $20 for 30 min, which was just a little weird, but in the end, it was nice to have it a little more private.

We had a absolutely fantastic night in this beautiful resort. The location with the surrounding mountains is magical and the gardens within the resorts are equally beautiful. I was stunned by the evening beauty of the place. The staff took very good care of us and were very kind! Breakfast buffé was excellent, with a great variation. The rooms were spacious, nicely decorated and with big windows. It felt very luxurious. I really wish we had time to stay longer since this was by far the nicest place we stayed at in Peru.
