My stay at Outpost Hostel was fantastic. As a social hostel, it offered plenty of fun activities, making it easy to meet people. I especially enjoyed the on-site cooking class—the hosts made it super engaging, and the food was delicious! They also had trivia nights and lively drinking games, adding to the fun atmosphere. The location was convenient, with a McDonald's at the end of the street (featuring a menu quite different from the U.S.) and plenty of tuktuks nearby for easy transportation. I stayed in a mixed dorm and had no issues with the other occupants. There were plenty of showers and toilets, so I never had to wait. The main lobby was welcoming, with huge bean bags and swings that made for a great spot to relax outside the dorms. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely stay here again!

The rooftop pool/bar has an absolutely stunning view. Activities were run there each night so it was really easy to meet people. The music was always turned off at 10pm so you could still get a good night's rest if you needed to be somewhere early the next day. The staff running the activities were enthusiastic & fun whilst the staff at reception were really helpful. For example, they were happy to organise an airport shuttle for us. The food served in the restaurant was outstanding. Highlights were the adobo and the French toast. We booked the private room, which was large and beautifully furnished.

No full length mirror in the private room & the lighting in the bathroom was really poor so it was difficult for me to do my make-up. The pillows were a bit too hard/thick, which was uncomfortable.

Bar had a great Halloween party Really social hostel We did the supreme boat tour (day) and it was great, however had to pay 300pesos separately for snorkel which seemed a rip off given how expensive the tour was. Kayaks were also expensive to rent (1500). Tour left late. Lots of people did their 3 day codon to el nido tour and said it was really really good. Food was delicious, a little expensive but great quality and portion sizes Pool was great Hot showers

Staff were friendly but had let someone else take my friends rucksack to the airport and luckily the girl realised at check in counter. Hostel staff kept saying the bag was 20 mins away but it took several hours. Simple solution would be to separate check in and checkout bags and ask everyone to check before they leave. Wish they had been more honest about timings as the driver was clearly waiting for the next flight to land before coming back. Also housekeeping would come in the room whenever someone checked out (sometimes 5am), knock on the door, leave the lights on and talk loudly on their walkie talkie which was inconsiderate

Lovely hostel with a nice pool, bathrooms were clean and the showers had good pressure and were hot, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and I went on a tour with the hostel which was great. The beds had really good privacy curtains.

There is often power cuts (which is not their fault and they have a backup generator) but these often happened during the night so the air conditioning would turn off and no one would come around to turn it back on as the remotes were kept outside the room, so it would get very hot in the room and it would be difficult to sleep in. I also wish they had a few more female dorm options as they were booked out and I had booked my stay quite far in advance and even so there were none available. Overall a really nice social hostel though.

The staff were super friendly and awesome. Greeted me by name every single time. Comfort rooms and showers were always clean…it seemed like there was always someone there cleaning except for the wee hours of the morning. Rooms were comfy and as expected. Bar/restaurant was good as well. Again, staff always greeted me by name. Patrons at the bar seemed a little cliquish, but that’s neither here nor there.

The electrical outlets were a bit dodgy and loose.

I had an incredible experience at this hotel. Despite usually staying in 5-star establishments, I decided to give this place a try because my friends were looking for a more lively atmosphere. And let me tell you, we definitely got what we were looking for. The rooftop with its breathtaking views of Coron Island was the perfect spot to relax and soak in the party vibes. We met so many interesting people, all here to have a great time. But what surprised me the most was the tranquility of the rooms. Despite all the excitement happening above, once we retreated to our rooms, it was completely peaceful. The soundproofing was top-notch. And even though the music stopped at 10pm, we still enjoyed a restful night's sleep. I must admit, I had reservations about the shared showers and toilets. However, I was blown away by how clean they were. They were meticulously cleaned multiple times an hour, which was truly impressive. The staff at this hotel deserves a special mention. Teddy, the manager, runs a tight ship and everything runs smoothly. You can tell that the staff genuinely enjoys their work and their positive attitude shines through. I wish I could remember everyone's name, but I want to commend Lovely, Shae, Mitch, and Alyn for their exceptional service. But honestly, every staff member we encountered was amazing.

If I had to point out one minor thing, it would be that the music during the day was a bit too loud for my liking. I personally would have preferred a more relaxed ambiance. However, I understand that this is a matter of personal preference and others may enjoy the energetic atmosphere.

Amazing hostel. The best one I have stayed at! Staff was extremely helpful and nice! The vibe of the whole place is very friendly and welcoming. Beds are comfy, rooms are good temp. Pool and bar are really nice! Food was expensive but amazing. They offer a lot of excursions at the front desk and I did choose many of them - all worth it!

The pool was not really clean, but it was not nasty or anything like that. There were also very little spots to sunbathe.

The Hostel: Well designed dorm rooms and common area. Rooms, toilets and showers are very clean and in good condition. Showers have hot water and good water pressure (towels provided). Amazing rooftop area offers decent food, drinks, awesome views and overall good vibes. Hostel has something for everyone whether you’re social or keep to yourself. The Stay: The bed was very comfortable and the noise level is kept to a minimum. Air conditioner run times are controlled by the facility. It goes on around 19:00 and turned off the following morning. Storage lockers are adequate (bring your own lock). Location is a bit secluded from the town centre madness, but still a short walk to several options for local food, bars and coffee shops. The Service: The staff were very kind and helpful. They even make it a point to remember your name (nice touch). They have good laundry services, merch and offer several tour options that leave directly from the hostel. Outpost does a great job at making you feel welcome and at home.

Nothing of significance.

The staff was so friendly and kind! The pool and the bar are so nice, the view is beautiful, you can have an amazing sunset view from there. There are activities going on every night, which can be a bit loud if you want to stay by the pool, but it generates a friendly atmosphere. They have very good tours for which they pick you up at the hostel. For how loud it is at night, the rooms are very quiet. Also, the rooms are very spacious and the bathrooms are clean and work well!

The bar is a bit pricey.

We stayed here as a couple in a private room, but got involved with their boat tour and met loads of fun people. The location is good, it felt a bit pricey for a hostel though the staff were amazing and made it feel a bit more justified. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable.

The only downside was that the water would go on and off but usually would be fixed pretty quickly.
