Everything was excellent from the cleanliness of the room to the location of the hotel and most of all the royalty treatment my family received from check in to check out. We want to especially mention Princess Aguilar who checked us in both times on July 8 for 3nts and came back on July 23 for 6nts. She really treated us like a royalty even our kids were amazed. She is truly an asset to the company. King also helped with checked in on the 23rd. He was also very helpful and treated us with respect. Another employee we would like to commend is Jay Ferrer who drove us to the airport the first time and we especially requested for him to pick us up and drive us back to the airport on our second stay. The front desk n all the porters were very pleasant and helpful. The housekeeping did a great job in cleaning both our rooms and accommodating all of our requests. My family and I are truly grateful for the exceptional treatment we received during both our stay at Edsa Shangri-La. Will definitely recommend and will try other Shangri-La locations!!!

Speaking for about the hotel itself, the staff was phenomenal. Every single person we encountered from the moment we were picked up at the airport, to the time we were dropped off the airport, was the epitome of professionalism and efficiency. Everyone was knowledgable and helpful! The airport pickup cars and vans were so easy to setup and find and the drivers were very professional. We had an entire wedding party here, and they made everything so comfortable and convenient. Even their bathroom amenities covered it ALL and was great quality. Room service menu was fantastic.

This is just a wishlist, but i would love a salon in the hotel! Maybe attached to the spa? Oh, the pool was a wee bit cool, a little bit more heated would be perfect.

We recently stayed at the Edsa Shangri- La Manila, hotel for 3 days and we had an amazing experience! Though the hotel is quite old, but still room was clean, spacious, and had a great view of the city. The staff were super friendly and helpful, especially Ms. Mallorie at the front desk. I'd definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay in Manila.

There’s nothing physically about the property that I didn’t like except for the rate is a little bit higher on where there’s other newer hotels around it with the price a little bit cheaper.

Swimming pool. We especially chosen to stay at Edsa Shangri-La for the kids-friendly swimming pool, slide and water fountains attraction. Unfortunately the water fountains attraction part was under maintenance. We do hope to have the occasion to stay again when the works are completed. The lavish and delicious breakfast buffet with a wide variety of options! The refreshing and rejuvenating Health Club facilities.

The works at the water fountains attraction was not announced at Booking.com. and seems not announced on the hotels’ website.

First of all you will note the cleanliness of the hotel, the friendly staff and the spacious rooms. Everything was clean and they provided bathroom amenities too. They even gave a gift for my birthday . The restaurants serve good food and the breakfast buffet consists of Western, Asian and Filipino food, it was really good. Location is no problem, the mall and other restaurants are just a few feet away. This is my second stay and I will book another stay in the future 😁

I think the thermostat control should be adjusted, even when it was off, it was still a bit cold. That's the only thing I noted

Pretty extensive breakfast buffet although I, personally, would have loved pork tocino to be included in the buffet. My husband would have loved to have the option of poached eggs. I alsolutely loved the “taho” and how it was delivered; it reminded me of olden days. The pastry selection was also divine. Easy access to Shangri-La Plaza is a major attraction. Shopping and great restaurants are definite draw cards. Now I understand why friends love to “staycation” at the Shang. Special call-out to Nikkei Nama Bar at the Shang Plaza.

Using tetra packs for water? I am not sure I agree. Are the tetra packs recyclable?

Level of service and comfort in the hotel is excellent as always. The staff made me feel welcomed, and helped me with merging two bookings I had made because of some last minute changes I had to make to my travel schedule. I had requested fresh mangoes during breakfast, and the service staff served me some very sweet mangoes. Having mangosteens to go with it was also a nice touch.

The breakfast buffet at HEAT isn't as good as it used to be from my last visit from last year. This is the first time I ever had steamed idli and chawan mushi that was dry, in spite of being a steamed dish. The Indian and Japanese food selection could use some refinement, as it lacks spice and salt.

I decided not to avail of breakfast as I do not eat much for the price I have to pay. Also, the convention came with a breakfast conference and free flowing coffee and tea. The staff have always been and continue to be friendly and accommodating. The rooms meet my expectation in terms of cleanliness. The air conditioning is now colder unlike previous convention stays when the aircon was not as cool. Even if the hotel parking is full, I can easily park at Shangrila Mall and transfer at night to the hotel parking. The proximity to the mall and other restos and shops makes it an ideal convention site and hotel stay

For a five star hotel and for the type of room I got, there was no hairdryer. Even 3-star hotels provide a small wall mounted hair dryer.

Its so nice and welcoming. Everything is at walking distance, the hotel is connected to the mall and if you don’t like that mall. You have a second mall just 3min walk away. Lots of things to buy, see or eat. Also some arcade, table tennis and bowling nearby.

The room we got had problems with the ventilation system. The room was colder then it said on the thermometers they tried to fix it, but could not raise the temperature higher then 18 Celsius I think. Which to me is cold over time.

Staff all excellent. Bed excellent. Pool was lovely. Cocktails excellent.

Bathroom needs renovating. Excellent tea but the teapot went cold really quickly. May I suggest heating the teapot with boiled water first before filling again for the teabags. Perhaps metal teapot would serve better. The milk was strangely fake and tasteless. I converted to not having milk in my tea. TV would not connect to internet.
