Our stay at Ravenala was truly unforgettable. We arrived much earlier than expected, around 10 a.m. and Maria immediately made sure we had a room ready, which was such a relief after a long drive. I had booked five rooms for my big family of 13, including kids, and Maria went above and beyond to make sure everyone was comfortable and happy throughout our stay. She was genuinely kind and always checked in on us. The rooms were spacious and cozy, and I especially loved the bed with the mosquito net, it brought back sweet childhood memories. The bathroom was also big and clean, and overall the setup was perfect for a relaxing stay. One of the things that pleasantly surprised us was the fast and reliable internet. My sister-in-law was working remotely during our trip with no issues. At the restaurant, Vivian, Neb and the other lady which name I forgot were fantastic. They were warm, attentive, and always made sure our food arrived on time. We also celebrated my grandmother’s birthday during our stay, and the staff made the day feel extra special with their thoughtful service. Even though the bungalows are located in a busy area, the property itself is peaceful and quiet. The beach is just steps away, and it’s absolutely beautiful white sand and crystal clear water. My entire family had a wonderful time. Thank you Ravenala. Regards, Mary and Family.

Ravenala's is a unique form of luxury that exceeded all other locations during our visit. From Baggao to El Nido, Moalboal to Mactan, and finally Manila. The beach bungalows were the stand out across the archipelago. Private, personalized, very intimate and luxurious in a way that larger resorts could not match -- Believe me we tried. The only thing better than the private access to the white sand beach, exquisite meals, and watching the sunset over Negros island is Ms. Ravenala herself and her exquisite staff. Ravenala's will be top of our anniversary list for years to come.
Leaving was a heart breaking experience for us. We even extended our trip by a day and I wish we had extended it by much more.

Well-managed resort with very friendly and professional staff + cute and well-behaved dog! It is located on probably the best piece of beach in Moalboal (the public beach right in front of the resort is "reserved" for resort guests, so I could count on having plenty of space even when the rest of the beach was full of people). Most of the time the sea was good for swimming and snorkeling. My bungalow was clean and very spacious, the air conditioning worked perfectly. Beds were big and comfortable. Even beach towels were provided. The resort has a restaurant with good food and refreshing drinks (including cocktails). Breakfast (included in my booking) was very good.
The public beach in front of the resort was not as clean as I would have liked, especially after high tide. This was not the fault of the resort, but if I were the owner I would task the staff to pick up the debris on the public beach in front of the resort as well.

Ravenala is in an incredible area, right on the lovely beach and we had a little room, downstairs, over looking a beautifully kept garden with direct access to the beach. Step outside and you're in the water, snorkelling amongst fish. Not much coral but plenty of fish. Ravenala is extremely quiet, being down the end of a rough dirt road, it doesn't get much traffic but the places just down from here do and are more public. Apparently it can get crazy on the weekends with the locals partying. So if you don't mind the local roosters waking you up early, it's perfect. The staff are just wonderful and really can't do enough for you including a packed lunch along with a thermos of hot coffee to take with you if you're going to miss your included breakfast. They also gave us a great tip when visiting the whale sharks in Oslob. If you are in possession of a Seniors Card from your home country, just take this card along with some photo ID and you can skip the long queues which can be anywhere between 1-3 hours. It was a wonderful bonus and we were taken straight to the front of the queue. They also hooked us up with a wonderful guide for the sardine run and turtles which is just a 15-minute tricycle ride down the road. Kelvin was fabulous and made sure we were safe and enjoying ourselves and that we had plenty of time to take in the sardines and also the two turtles he found for us. Just ask Marie to speak to her brother. He was very reasonably priced too. We ate most of our meals at Ravenala which were amazing and good value. Cocktails are yum and so's the coffee and breakfast. We did love Ravenala, just not the room (see below) which we did not find good value for the price we paid. Philippines is not cheap for accommodation.
Now, I haven't given the actual room much of a score because, although the room (#3) was in a fabulous location and super clean, it is quite dated with a very hard, uncomfortable bed with nowhere to hang any clothes and our bathroom ceiling was leaking from the room above and had black mould which was minimal but isn't ideal if you're there long term. We figured 4 nights wouldn't hurt us and we kept the bathroom well ventilated

In February, we stayed at this beautiful resort, surrounded by lush greenery everywhere. The room was simple but very spacious and clean, as was the bathroom. In addition to breakfast, you can have lunch, request a portion of fresh fruit, enjoy an aperitif, or have dinner—the menu is quite varied. The beach is right in front of the resort, along with the coral reef. Besides beautiful fish, we even spotted a turtle! The staff is very kind, and I’d like to take this opportunity to send another big hug to Maria and Neb, who made our stay even more enjoyable—thank you, girls! 😊

Our family of 4 stayed at Ravenala for 7 nights. Set on a beautiful beach with amazing snorkelling 20 meters from the waters edge. We loved our comfortable beach bungalow set on a quiet part of the beach. The restaurant served excellent food and we were ten mins from the town by tricycle. Maria and her staff were amazing, really genuine and lovely people, nothing too much trouble. We organised our activities with Maria and everything was easy and well organised. Cannot recommend highly enough. Was a great place to end our month in the Phillipines!

Very kind and supportive staff. Only 30m to the sea. At high tide only 100m to swim until the water gets deep blue and you are right between loads of colorful fish and swarms of young sardines. So a pretty good place for snorkelling. Sometimes, when the draft is not too strong you can see turtles as well. It's pretty interesting when you reach the "end of the beach" and it's getting deep as you can feel drift from warm to cold when the water from the deep meets the warm water from the beach. The beach is mostly of coarse sand and not as powdery as maybe in other areas but still OK.

Stay here for a local feel at a great value. My bungalow was literally on the beach and had a large patio, very good air conditioning and a comfortable bed. The location was fantastic. I would stay here again! The reef is just a short swim out and I saw several sea turtles and lots of beautiful fish. Maria booked a local boat for an hour or so of snorkeling at the property.
No fault of the property but the beach had a lot of trash. A short walk down the beach had less trash but the local guys employed to rake up the trash didn’t do a good job in front of the property. The air con was a bit loud but other than that, it was a great stay!

Our rooms were next to each other (rooms 1 and 2), and were as close to the beach as could be expected. The patio area had a rainwater wash tub to rinse your feet off, before going into the rooms, which made this so much nicer. The bathrooms were very clean and large, with good hotwater. The beds were 7/10, but the pillows were great, and you could hear the waves lapping the beach while lying in bed. The restaurant was good, and had a good variety of western and Filipino dishes. The location is perfectly located in the centre of the Moalboal "strip".
The restaurant had run out of chicken breast, so i was not able to have my first or second choices for dinner. We would have extended our stay another night, to enjoy the place more, however it was fully booked the following day. (an indication of how good this place is).
