For the price, this was a nice hotel. We had an en-suite room, which had a working toilet and shower, and air con. It was clean and comfortable, and had scooters for rent which was super handy. Walking distance to the port which is good if you’re arriving via ferry. Staff spoke limited English but enough to understand what we asked for, and were friendly.

Some ants around one of the power sockets and on the walls, which is probably to be expected as there seems to be a lot around Bohol in general. Air con was effective but noisy.

Everything was absolutely perfect! The room was a good size, with plenty of power outlets, great air conditioning, and fast WiFi. The bed was very comfortable, and the bed sheets were fresh with a lovely smell. The bathroom was well-equipped with a shower, cosmetics, and hot water. Everything was spotlessly clean and tidy. There was also free parking available, which was a nice bonus. I couldn’t have wished for anything more! Thank you again for a lovely stay! Beata & Marcin"

The shortcoming is mainly the payment option they have: you have to pay them physical money. That aside, they got enough facility shortcoming that they rectified: -airconditioner broke down on day 2 and they moved us to a different room without hassles—we didn’t even ask for it, they just attended to us. -their fridge at the reception had some fish in there that spoiled the whole fridge itself. So they gave us a “personal” fridge to use—free of charge. The staff are really friendly and has that Boholano-accommodating and vibe in them that they just joke about letting us use the fridge free of charge as a “senior citizen discount” (as that option isn’t available in Booking app here). -on the last day, they let us take our time to gather ourselves—we left before check-out time ofc as we’re bound to travel to Cebu via OceanJet and that ship would leave by 12nn. At most, the whole experience was remedied by how accommodating the staff were, so any shortcomings they have was taken care of.

when we initially got there was horrendous: their card reader didn’t work and thus I have to shelve out physical money when it’s their problem and fault. Now almost penniless I have to find an ATM on the nearest banks around—being a stranger in a strange town can have security and safety concerns. Like I would want to pay over here in this Booking app, completely secure and all just apps and emails and debit cards involved, but somehow Dayview didn’t have that as an option. Like I imagined all these digital transactions would be basic if you enroll your business here in Booking but I guess Dayview didn’t get the memo. Yet within my 5-day/4-nights stay, Dayview Tourist Home did come up with their shortcomings, friendly staff as well, so there’s that.

The room was clean but would have loved a thicker blanket. Everything was in order and as shown in the picture. The room is also spacious for 4 people. Location was also perfect, super close to the Port if you're traveling to nearby islands. Convenience store is also a few steps away and some restaurants.

We much enjoyed the large (de Luxe) room, with quite a bit of storage space, good television and nice hot shower and good air conditionning. Carmen and her husband are very helpful and keep the place very clean. Safe and quiet small gusethouse with front gate. Easy motorcycle rental. Restaurants are near. (Air conditionning machine may be a bit noisy at times during the night.)

The bed is very comfortable, the room and place are all clean. Very quiet and good for resting. The price is very budget friendly.

A sudden power outage with NO generator, we woke up around 5am because there's no power. It's disappointing that they don't have a backup generator they can use. The wifi signal is VERY weak smh and they only prepare 1 towel in the room (2 guests). You have to ask for almost everything that should have been prepared already, it's a common sense.

The room we booked was very spacious and clean. There was plenty of room to organize: desk area, closet, chairs, table. Bonus!.. hot water shower in larger bathroom. Water refill station outside, hot water heater inside and mugs, I felt very comfortable. Location is really close to the port for ferry rides. The scooter ride to Panglao is about 30 mins along with other hikes around Bohol area.

no card payment, cash only and was a slightly different price online vs in person

The area was quiet. The accomodation was affordable and very clean. Staff was friendly and very willing to supply our needs.

No refrigerator inside the room, although there is a shared one in the lounge.

The location is near the port so transportation is easy. It is near the grocery and wet market. There are a lot of food stalls within the walking vicinity. Affordable just don't expect a hotel environment but for it's price it's worth it.

Needs a little cleaning since I saw a 1 cockroach maybe because it just rained outside during our stay.
