What a beautiful, peaceful hotel in a lovely village, close to the salt mines. The staff was extremely helpful, and our room for three people was comfortable and large with nice amenities, including tea/coffee and great Wi-Fi. There was a nice sauna in the hotel, also. We enjoyed a delicious, affordable meal at the restaurant and walks around the gardens. The Salt Mine is next door, so we walked to our tour in the morning. It was easy enough to get transportation to/from Auschwitz and Krakow. I would recommend this beautiful place to anyone.

The hot tub was closed for repairs, which was a bummer.

A great room (#207) with a super bathroom and overlooked the fountain and the park. Very friendly staff, especially Mikel on reception who was very helpful and knowledgable about the area. We were very impressed with breakfast which was included in the price. We also had lunch on a couple of occasions and was not only impressed with the quality of the food, but also the price, which was very reasonable (just over 100PLN (£20) for two mains and carafe of wine) The goat cheese salad was the best salad I have tasted in years. The location is about 400m from the train station, 50m from the salt mine and 200m from the graduation tower, plus was right in the centre of a very nice park.

I'm struggling to find fault, but being picky - The towels were a little rough and the bath was very slippy so we had to sacrifice a hand towel to use as a bath mat.

Located in the salt mine grounds with free on site parking was perfect. The food served was excellent. Location, parking and food gets a 10 - 10 from me.

Our room was on the ground floor behind the reception desk. The room was lovely with easy access BUT the ventilation system was noisy throughout the day and night. If it was quieter it would have been a 10 from me. If in the area I would certainly use the hotel again, but I would ask for a different room.

The Hotel is very well located for visiting all the salt mine atractions. Room spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast had good selection of food. We liked everything about our stay here.

There are multiple entrances but only the main one is open, even though the other have electronic card readers, the room card doesn't let to open them. Our room was in another building, so another entrance would have helped while bringing lugage.

The Grand Sal Hotel was very nice. Everything in the room was clean and stocked with soap, body wash, towels etc. The staff was very kind and helpful. They accommodated me by speaking English, as that is the only language I know. I had dinner in the restaurant and it was also extremely good. Breakfast the next morning was great with many options and a coffee / expresso machine. The location was perfect to walk to the salt mine tour the next morning. I was extremely pleased during my stay at the hotel.

I did not find any extra pillows in the room. I will admit I did not request any either. This is a very small thing.

Our stay was truly enjoyable, as the location, room, dining options, and sauna provided all the amenities my wife and I were looking for. It was a well-rounded and satisfying experience. Thank you Grand Sal team.

Although the property does not have a swimming pool, this did not take away from the overall experience. The visit was still exceptional, with everything else contributing to a perfect and enjoyable stay.

We arrived at the hotel late at night and were warmly welcomed by the attentive receptionist, who promptly provided our keys. The rooms were exceptionally clean and spacious, offering a comfortable stay. Breakfast was not only delicious but also very affordable. We will definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to others.

One downside to our stay was the noise from construction work or lawn mowing outside the hotel in the morning, which woke us up earlier than expected.

Perfect location in a gorgeous park. Clean rooms, good meals, helpful staff. Five minutes walk to the train station. Easy to reach Krakow. The salt mine is practically the next building.

Only got one pillow per person. No hangers for drying the wet jackets nor for the wet towels. Emptying the trashcan and filling up the toilet paper only upon a request. Other hotels do this regularly, as a daily basis.

Nothing to mention

The perfect place to stay if visiting the salt mine. The entrance to the mine is literally just around the corner. The location in the old park is beautiful and very relaxing as well. The hotel itself was a bit smaller than I expected, but it just gave a more homely feel to it. The room was large and fresh and had everything needed: AC, water kettle, fridge and a bath. The hotel restaurant was excellent as well, we ate there two times during the stay and the food was very nice and well presented for a reasonal price.

The breakfast buffet was a bit limited. It was nothing wrong with the things served, but there wasn't much to choose from. I understand that this size of a hotell can't have a huge buffet, but I still expected a bit more that this.
