The property was beautiful the room large and airy with a fabulous comfy bed the shower room was spotless with lovely toiletries. Sophie the owner was friendly and a wealth of information regarding places to visit nothing was too much trouble. The secure parking was invaluable with a beautiful outside patio and garden area. In fact it was so good we have booked for next year!😊

My second time staying at Casa dos Pingos de Mel. Once back in Aveiro, wouldn’t have missed this . For people who like proximity to Beaches, it’s a great place. For me, I am not exactly a Beach Bum. I would ideally have preferred someplace close to the centre of Aveiro. But, other than that, the place is cozy and Sophie is exceptional. Would recommend this place to anyone visiting Aveiro, Portugal.

The breakfast is freshly made by Sophie every day, delicious Portuguese/French touch. Sophie is always available and a down to earth host, is very pleasant to share a talk with her. We ve loved the fact the house has an authentic Portuguese touch, not a sort of "replica" for tourists.

Amazing host, beautiful house! You can enjoy the wonderful living room or backyard. We felt very welcome and at home away from home.

The room was situated on the street side of the house and that street was quite frequently used from early in the morning on. At night it was mostly okay.

Great homemade breakfast with homemade jams :) Beautiful and spacious house + garden, clean, available parking space, 6-7 minute drive to Aveiro center, comfortable rooms, the host was very welcoming.

A half-glass bathroom wall in one of the bedrooms would be better with dark curtains for more privacy.

Host welcoming and friendly . Excellent breakfast. Room and bathroom large and decorated in country style. Location 10 mins drive one way to Aveiro centre and other direction to Costa Nuova costal area. Private off road parking

Lovely traditional house. Very helpful host, has everything needed for a comfortble stay. Would need a car to access the local sites.

Quiet location; easy access to Aveiro (with a car: I didn't use public transport); secure parking; excellent breakfast with top notch homemade fig jam! Comfortable bed. Sophie is a charming and helpful host. I wouldn't hesitate to go back! Thank you for all the local advice, Sophie: I wouldn't have seen the porcelain museum without your input and spent £100 on a plate. Oh.....;-)

Only one thing springs to mind, but it in no way diminishes my experience - the bathroom floor was extremely slippery as it gets very wet when the shower is used, making a woman of my advanced years feel very unsafe. A curtain or screen would make an enormous difference.
