Beautiful hotel and the pictures don’t do justice. An oasis of calm. We were on our babymoon and the peace and quiet was exactly what we were looking for. Great value for money for a European hotel, we hadn’t felt that way in a long time. Lots of beaches in the area and some great restaurants that the hotel recommends (you do definitely need a car to get around). The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was amazing.

It’s a big compound and our room was at the other side - a short drive from the pool / breakfast area. As I am pregnant, there were times I wanted to lie down in the room and my partner had to drive me back. It’s part of the charm of the hotel that rooms are spaced out, but I would recommend to build more bike paths and put more bike stations for those rooms at the other end (also eco-friendlier)

the heated swimming pool . the breakfast buffet is sumptuous. the staff is very kind( but mostly quite inexperienced with exception. reception staff needs further schooling and discipline. the cabana was well equipped and spacious. nice patio. excellent beds.problems with closed circuit tv but rich choices.

gym too small for the size of the hotel, but modern and well equipped, (but often not clean in the morning and without regular water refill. ) no closed bar area nor lounge area when the weather is colder or rainy . noisy restaurant in the evening. no atmosphere there nor vibe. nice menus but the food in the evening for dinner is not up to par for the prices of food and the hotel category.( breakfast is however great). nice whisky selection but no real bar to enjoy. A bit far from the great beach.

The property is beautiful and fun to bike around. Pool is amazing. Staff very friendly and helpful. Convenient to drive to many nearby beaches, and there are so many options! And breakfast is plentiful and delicious.

This seems like more of a Comporta problem overall, that in July there are many flies in the area. Would be great if property could take other measures to deter them, particularly during breakfast and around the pool, but not sure what the options are. The gym could also use some additional equipment, and they could use more bikes on the property overall as that’s the primary way to get around.

Amazing breakfast. A large buffet selection and a menu to choose from. All fresh and delicious. Courteous, friendly staff. The main pool is idyllic, situated right next to a forest. The surroundings are so serene and well landscaped. This will only get better as all the plants bed in. The room was great. The glass-walled toilet felt a little public but we worked around that! Plenty of room. Space to eat and to relax. And loads of storage. The design of the room, the main parts of the hotel, the pool area, the staff uniforms - all flawless. And the general ambience of the place was relaxed, unpretentious and informal. Hard to beat.

If I'm being picky, the shampoo and body felt they could be a little richer. It didn't spoil the stay - I was asked, so I'm telling! Location-wise, you can't beat the serenity. But if you're looking to take a taxi into Carvalhal or Comporta for dinner, for example, you can add 60 Euros onto your night. Literally the price you pay... Dinner at the hotel didn't appeal because there were so few takers and it would have lacked atmosphere. Catch 22, I suppose. Though we did have room service on our last night and that was great. We can recommend the burger and the Caesar Salad

very friendly and helpful staff, the main pool is amazing and second restaurant space very nice. Beautiful landscaped gardens. The whole area is huge but they have bikes you can use. Would definitely stay again.

The gym is good but water wasn't available when I went there (despite checking with staff beforehand) and it's 5 mins walk from the reception. There's no phone in there to call reception so I had to break my workout to go to the reception and back again. Staff did top up the water shortly after I flagged it however. The heated pool was too warm for a day of 30 degrees plus (felt more like jacuzzi temperatures) would be great in winter but needs to be cooler to cool off in summer.

Lovely modern property, felt more like a Center Parcs than a hotel! Was unbelievably quiet so we had an upgrade which was very lovely. The room was very spacious and lovely terrace although being December too cold to sit on! bathroom huge! Breakfast was a great spread too and very friendly staff, happy to help on any query - booked up electric bikes for the day down in Melides which we loved.

It was just so quiet, so empty which we were surprised at, just us and 1 couple at breakfast both days. So consequently lacked atmosphere but it was a lovely place. A lot further from the coast than other properties though.

Spatia is one of the most special places I have ever stayed at. It is pure magic in every corner and the people working there made it even that more special for us. Every inch of the property is designed to such an excellent standard and you really feel like you are entering another universe of serenity, peace and luxury. The rooms are fantastic and extremely spacious and the finishing touches are beautiful. The outside shower with hot water was one of my highlights and the massive clear glass doors that backed onto the beautiful pines. My partner and I planned to see lots of the surrounding areas but found ourselves in the hotel majority of the time due to its incredible feel and facilities. We played tennis every morning, cycled around, laid but the pool and had evening drinks by the stylish fire pit every night. Food and drinks were amazing! The staff went above and beyond for us and really made our stay SO enjoyable. They have an excellent WhatsAp chat where you can text the concierge about anything and they get back to you immediately. One day we were on a hike and asked for a good beach bar to have a drink and within minutes they replied with suggestions. A special shoutout to Paulo, who served breakfast each day and who felt like a friend by the time our stay was over. His positivity, friendliness and attendance was like nothing else and we were truly sad to say bye to him! Jose, Danielle, Alex and Debbie were also extremely friendly and personable and also contributed to how much we enjoyed our stay. Obviously, I could not recommend this place enough. We can not wait to come back. ps the area and surrounds are also 10/10 stunning and a unique place to visit which differs from other Europeans beach spots.

We loved the calm, peaceful atmosphere. We also had an upgrade to a cabana which was wonderful - brand new, lovely modern design and surrounded by trees. The breakfast was exceptional and served until mid-day. A car is essential to reach Comporta and the many fantastic beaches in the area.

The swimming pool was beautiful but we would have preferred to see a separate pool for children. There was a small paddling pool but no families used it. We did not expect to see families on holiday in May but the children were pre-school age. This was not a big issue as we usually went to the beach.

We really enjoyed our stay! The cottages are beautiful and cozy, the surroundings are peaceful, and breakfast was absolutely delicious. We loved the free bikes, the included tennis courts, and the sweet touches like the minibar, welcome wine, and pastel de nata.

The area is large but feels a bit underused — it would be nice to have more activities. We also missed having a spa. One small issue: the sockets by the bed are blocked, so it’s tricky to charge your phone there.
