Our wonderful travel planner Sadie recommended we stay at this lovely hotel in Evora. The hotel is perfectly located adjacent to the old town, but the immediate area is not the least bit touristy. The hotel was a combination of great architecture and imaginative interiors. The use of extremely high quality and beautiful wood throughout the hotel was something I don't recall seeing anywhere else in a very long time. The grand floor reception is very nice and there is large lounge with a beautiful bar. There is a very large spiral staircase that goes from the ground floor to the very top of the hotel. The mix of wood and white surfaces make for a great deal of natural light as well as a warm and inviting feeling. The rooms are absolutely perfect with lots of space and a really nice bathroom and large shower. They have a great gym that we used each day. The staff was very welcoming, friendly and helpful and we’re really happy we stayed at the super pleasant hotel.

Everything is perfect

Our room was spacious (we deliberately chose one of the larger rooms), parking under the hotel was safe and convenient and free, the location was excellent - easy to navigate to (though getting out was more complicated when Google maps wanted to take us up a one way street), a very good breakfast. We didn't eat at the main restaurant in the evening, but did eat casually at the bar, where service was prompt and the food was excellent.

The room servicing was variable - some days perfect, some days things weren't replaced, although it was always clean.

We were greeted kindly and the staff gave us a map and made suggestions for our visit. The hotel is very well located to reach all of the historical places and restaurants we were interested in. We are very pleased about the reasonable rate they charged. The room was spacious and well appointed with closets, drawers and hangers as well as a tea kettle and various teas and instant coffees. We like the sleek modern decor using light colored wood and a smoothly finished concrete floor. There is a nice sized balcony with table and chairs and a comfy chair as well overlooking a courtyard. Excellent shower and w.c. Layout. We had a drink and a snack at the bar area. We loved the modern wooden spiral staircase which is a major focal point. We used it many times instead of the elevator!

The hotel was modern, with simple wood and marble decor. Our room overlooked a courtyard with beautiful olive trees planted in huge marble pots. Staff was friendly, the bar served good food and the breakfast was everything we needed. The room and bathroom were spacious and the bed was very comfortable. There was secure underground, parking and we were able to walk to several interest points. The hotel kindly acknowledged our anniversary with champagne and delicious cake!

The bed pillows were too squishy for my liking. The thermostat was too hard to understand, ended up sleeping with the patio door open a bit to cool the room.

The staff are extremely helpful and accommodating. The female receptionist (forgot to ask for name) who completed our check in is very friendly and helpful. Always smiling and very good attitude. The male staff members who completed our check out are also very helpful, assisting us with booking of taxi. Bar tenders are also very friendly and helpful. I would say all the staff we have met are very nice so that was a great experience. Love the lounge area as well. Good ambience and comfy seats. The room is spacious and clean and bed comfortable. Also love the location

Would prefer the pool to be bigger and gym could have been 24 hours

MODERN style and feel, spa,pool, breakfast and garage parking. Restaurant food was very good Showe had great water pressure. Linens felt like great quality, and bath towels too

No in-room coffee, wait staff needs more training (technical and personality, warmth) Our initial chech-in person was great, but other front desk people seemed cool, and not warm nor smiled. Most of the time, there was not much smiling. Re:it would be nice to be able to get coffee between meals without having to ask a waiter. Our bathroom was small .and awkward since the door opened inward, which hinders anyone at the sink or toilet. C Electrical outlets awkward under nighttables- so difficult to see and kneeling necessary to reach them

Wonderful place! There is an underground parking garage which made it so easy for us to get in/out of. The staff was wonderful with many recommendations! The room was spectacular and the bathroom was amazing- lots of space!! The breakfast was wonderful with lots of options! We ate dinner there one night and absolutely LOVED it! The wait staff were wonderful as well- took the time to recommend other restaurants too. The pool/area was so nice too- we didn't swim tho- we don't like cold water. There is an indoor pool/spa if you want to use that. We enjoyed hanging outside. The location is also wonderful, very close to many attractions, restaurants and shops. Highly recommend this place!

Nothing- everything was wonderful.

The reception staff spoke excellent English and were pleasant and helpful. We arrived a couple hours before check in, but our room was ready. The bed was comfortable, the shower had great water pressure and plenty of hot water. There was free parking in their parking garage.

The hotel is located on a one way street, so park before the hotel to check in or you will have to drive around and try to make your way back. There were no rugs in the room and there was just painted concrete for the floor. Only 1 small picture on the walls. We heard singing and music for about one hour, but it was over by 10 or 11PM.

The property was great, it is central to many tourist attractions (about a 10 min walk to Giraldo Square and other main sights). The location/address itself was easy to find. Private parking with the unit was so convenient especially in Portugal where parking in city centers is very difficult to find even in the off-season. We drove an SUV and there were plenty of spaces available in the underground parking garage that the hotel owned. It's safe and secure and was perfect for the few days we were there. The rooms were exactly as described. Very clean and spacious. There was complimentary shampoo, body wash and water. There was an elevator from the parking garage which was helpful bringing luggage up to the unit. The hotel also provided coupons for the in-house restaurant which we tried for dinner and were very happy with. A highlight was having wall outlets near the beds. It has been difficult to find wall outlets in most accommodations in Portugal, especially ones close to the bed for charging cell phones, etc. but Evora Olive Hotel had many available in convenient locations.

We had everything we needed and more. This hotel exceeded our expectations and we wished we could have stayed longer. We would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Evora and we would definitely stay here again.

Staff were very helpful. Beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was good. The location inside the old part of the city was perfect for walking to everything. Really good snack bar if you did not have the appetite for a full meal. Nice, modern and clean facilities.

Our only issue was finding the hotel. Apple and google maps were not very helpful. It would have been useful to have information from the hotel and instructions with photos that would have allowed us to access the included underground parking garage, as if we had known that, we would not have ended up missing the property by 50 feet. We squeezed to the side of the narrow road while I jumped out and ran back to look for the hotel, and they were very helpful and gave me a map showing how to get back, but being on a one way system meant we had to drive another 2 miles in rush hour traffic to get back to it. Pretty frustrating after a long drive.
