We had a wonderful stay at this charming, tastefully renovated historic house, which has been thoughtfully converted into spacious apartments. The property is stunning, with a lovely courtyard and a small lounge area with a pool – although not heated, it was still refreshing, and the kids absolutely loved it! The location is perfect, close to everything you need in Évora, making it an ideal base for exploring the city. The staff was very helpful and assisted with our luggage to bring it to our rooms, ensuring we had everything we needed during our stay. We highly recommend this place!

The room was great. Stairs to the 3rd floor (2nd floor European). Comfortable bed, big bathroom, well equipped kitchenette, great view over the rooftops, and a really nice (paid) breakfast. The staff were lovely and helpful. It was central to everything.

The shower ran out of hot water twice, the water from the shower absolutely soaks the bathmat, and the two single armchairs were not comfortable for relaxing. If you have trouble with stairs, do not reserve this apartment. We know parking would be an issue going in, and we were directed to a free lot just outside the walls; 10 minute walk tops.

We spent 3 weeks travelling round Portugal and out of 11 different accommodations, this was the best! A beautiful house, converted into rooms and apartments, around some beautiful courtyards. We had an apartment over 2 floors (with the bed on a mezzanine). It was far and away the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. Breakfast was delivered to the room in the morning and it was quite magnificent - more than enough for lunch as well! Evora is a fabulous place to visit and I cannot imagine a lovelier place to stay than Casa Morgardo.

I cannot think of anything that could be improved.

The hotel is much nicer than pictured! So picturesque, beautiful inner garden, arches and doorways. The room was huge and really comfortable. Located in the heart of Evora, the location could not be better. The staff who greated us was so welcoming a nice!

- The pool was closed for maintence during our stay which we were not informed about and which we would have liked to use - They started serving breakfast at 9.30 which was unfortunately too late for us since we had to leave in the morning - Wifi was unfortunatly terrible and I had no 4G signal either since the building has massive walls blocking any signal

We had an excellent stay! The accommodation was extremely comfortable, and the bed was by far the most comfortable of all the places we stayed during our trip. The location is perfect for exploring Évora on foot, and the staff were incredibly helpful with great suggestions for restaurants and things to do. Highly recommend staying here!

Only that our apartment didn’t have a great outlook but one hardly spends much time indoors when exploring new places, so it really wasn’t an issue, it was still a perfect stay.

A beautiful hotel area and room, very pleasant and welcoming hosts!

The property was modern and in the middle of the country. Very peaceful and secluded. Had a well stocked kitchen and the fresh morning bread and continental breakfast was a plus. We couldn’t use the pool as we were there in February, but we had nice weather that week. Corrina was very helpful and available if we needed anything, and the owner António is a generous and gracious host.

Our unit had a small shower, which may not work for some people.

The location of the property was absolutely perfect. It is almost dead center in the middle of the old town and I don’t think there could’ve been a better location. After booking the hotel, we received a phone call from Joni who just wanted to get an accurate timeframe of when we might be at the hotel. We then found him waiting out front for us to help with the luggage and entrance of the hotel and we arrive. He could not have been more accommodating with helping us during our stay as well. Joni gave us some amazing recommendations for dinner as well as he went above and beyond to email us directly some recommendations for the Geres national Park. He was extremely kind and also stored our luggage while we finish the day exploring before we left. He is a definite asset to this hotel, and one of the kindest hosts we have ever had. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel for staff as well as its location. The room was extremely clean and the bed was very comfortable. Shower had excellent water pressure and water was very hot. There’s a small kitchenette in our room with coffee and tea and everything you would need. It was overall a wonderful stay and highly recommended.

I don’t believe there was anything not to like at this property or the staff. It was exceptional in every way.

Absolutely exceptional property! From the lovely, helpful staff, perfectly clean room and grounds and beautiful historical building and views. I loved my little apartment setup -had everything I needed for a 3 day, 2 night stay. Cozy bed, AC and fast Wifi when I wanted to get writing done. It's in the heart of the town just minutes walk to anything you would need. I look forward to returning and bringing a friend!

Nothing, shocked to say it was perfect!

The room we had in this historic building was charming and had everything one would need for a comfortable stay. It was clean and included some nice extras including a glass of wine on arrival. The location was excellent for walking around the old town area. Perhaps the best part of our visit was the service given us by Joni. He helped with parking and luggage as well as local suggestions and information. He was extremely friendly and attentive.
