The mattress and pillows were exceptionally comfortable - all memory foam I believe. This was great as our previous three nights were spent on a less-than-comfortable mattress. We had a warm welcome from the owners/managers, which was really nice in this day and age. Breakfast was varied and ample, with more food being brought out continually. My partner doesn't drink coffee and it was no trouble at all for a member of staff to find English teabags and a kettle for hot water. There is plenty of free parking within the hotel grounds and it is within walking distance of Evora (about 2.5 km) so you can avoid driving into the busy city if you wish (we walked). We could actually see the cathedral from our room.

The only negative was the lack of electric sockets. We managed by charging our various electronic items one by one (it can be done). WiFi is only available in reception/dining room, etc.

Location was great, a little outside the city into the country but only a few minutes by car into the centre and a wonderful view of the city from our balcony. Rooms were comfortable with enough space for our needs. Breakfast was good and the hotel owner, her husband and their staff were welcoming and very helpful. The swimming pool, whilst a little chilly, was a great bonus. We had the pool area to ourselves on our recent visit.

The only thing I would say, although we were late in the season, would be a couple of extra choices of hot food at breakfast, but it didn't spoil our stay whatsover as the choice of breakfast items on offer were great.

Comfortable beds, helpful staff, plenty of parking - free! - great breakfast, good views. We stayed a little ways out of town intentionally to avoid driving into old town Evora. It was very easy to find the free parking lot just outside of the city walls and then walk into the town (I have some mobility issues and managed just fine).

We stayed in two different rooms as we ended up extending our stay and had to move out of our first (no biggee). Our first room was quite dark, second a bit brighter. Very few outlets in either room. There are no restaurants or stores nearby within walking distance. We knew this ahead of time so found a grocery store right after checking in. The location of the hotel and the availability of parking were important factors for us, so this was a good choice for our needs.

I’m glad I stayed here. It says 3 stars but it felt like more. Nice staff, comfortable bed, clean room, full length mirrors, enjoyed the view from my room, good location (easy for me to get to the places I needed to get to via Bolt/Uber). For those who aren’t morning people, the shutters provide you with a blacked out room for undisturbed sleep (at least from sunlight).

Would ask for more veggie options at breakfast. I was also hoping for Portuguese tarts at breakfast.

This was a very nice family hotel which was outside the center of town. It was quiet and restful. Breakfast was included and it had a lot of choices.

The major drawback for me was the lack of an English speaker at the property. I had read that you could walk into town and that would have been preferable to the nightmare of trying to find a parking place but there was no one who could give me the necessary directions.

It was a beautiful property with orange trees everywhere. Excellent helpful owners. Specially the lady. She let us pluck oranges from the trees and also when asked for afternoon tea, gave it to us in a big tea set with cakes and all and did not even charge us. Hotel is very clean, spic and span. Though not in the center of the city, its not very far.

A bit more options for breakfast would be good. Communication can be an issue as anyone hardly spoke English. But they were so loving that we did not mind and managed with gestures :)

It is a lovely quiet location. Great place to relax and rest. Breakfast was good with meat, cheese, bread, cake, fruit, yogurt, Expresso, coffee and teas.The pool and the surrounding gardens are beautiful. The room was clean wirh simple furniture.

There was a smell of sulphur in the bathroom. We kept the bathroom door shut and it was okay.

The hotel was absolutely immaculate clean towels everyday, great touch having a fridge in the room. A very quiet location we got taxi's into town but we would rather stay here than in the centre. The pool area is immaculate with changing facilities a great hotel and so much parking. Breakfast is buffet and totally adequate

There was nothing that we were unhappy with.

Impeccably clean good park ng nice pool. Staff tried to be helpful within language constraints. Brilliant views from the second floor front.

Although it's not that far from evora you still needed a vehicle. We did use the bus but the 34 is sporadic. It was only 6 euros in a cab. Breakfast hit and miss. I am gluten intolerant so cheese ham and a boiled egg with whatever fruit. No cereals etc and sometimes scrambled egg. But for the money it's not a bad deal and they try to make you feel welcome.

The breakfast was rich and flavourful, the room was super clean and we had a great balcony with a nice view on the countryside and the Evora cathedral in the background. The swimming pool was super relaxing and well kept and we could sunbathe properly. The staff was also very nice, we were supposed to check in in the late afternoon but our room was ready in the morning already so we got some extra time to chill at the pool. The bed was super comfortable and there was also a TV with a rich choice of channels

To be honest everything was perfect, the only small thing is that we had no car so we had to take the Uber all the time to go to the city and back. Probably due to the holidays, it was difficult to find available Ubers most of the time so we decided to walk (around 30 min to the city centre) and it was quite peaceful
