This was a superb stay. Sylvie and JC are great hosts. It was very peaceful and tranquil.We are both dog lovers and enjoyed playing with Dixie the owners dog Our dog a husky malamute would have enjoyed meeting Dixie too.She is a doberman and such a good natured dog. We miss her. Did laps in the pool every day and ran on the quiet roads in the vicinity. This is a good position to explore the Algarve which we did with a hire car. The apartment was very roomy with all the amenities. Did not want to leave and hopefully we can return in the future.

The apartment was well stocked and the hosts added some thoughtful details like a gown for our son as well as jam, butter, bread and coffee. The pool and view was very nice and it was quiet. Silvi greeted us on arrival and provided us with tips on visiting the Algarve.

The owners have a Doberman puppy, which is not yet trained. The dog chased our son on two occasions. I would advise anybody with young children to book only if your children are comfortable with this kind of dog and the hosts can assure you the dog has been adequately trained. It should be made clearer by the hosts on Bookings that there is a Doberman dog on the premises and it should then be up to families if they want to book in light of this information.

The location was perfect for a quiet stay yet not far from any of the cities where restaurants, stores etc. can be found. We enjoyed our hosts very much, wonderful people, very helpful and caring they went out of their way to make us comfortable and welcome. The apt. was spacious and had everything you need. Sylvie and JC really put thought into what their guests might require. The property was lovely, pool, frisbee golf, bowls and a really beautiful view. A short walk 15-20 mins. to a lovely cafe that serves English breakfast. Definitely coming back our next stay in the Algarve!

The villa was comfortable, spacious and had everything we needed for the stay. The hosts were very friendly and helped out with recommendations in the area amd the pool was wonderful. Location was good, 10 min drive to supermarkets and around 20 minute drive to Faro.

It’s a huge compliment to Sylvie and JC that this is the third time we’ve been to Monte Bougainvillea. The apartments are lovely, everything has been thought of, the grounds are great and the setting is perfect. Little extras from Sylvie like home made preserves and some home cured olives were a lovely touch, and the welcoming provisions so thoughtful and helpful.

Beautiful hill top location away from the busy coastal strip Our warm and welcoming hosts had thought of everything for the apartment making it a wonderful experience The pool is great and very well maintained our only regret was we didn’t spend more time in and near it There are some beautiful and interesting walks nearby but do get out early to avoid the heat.

Nothing to not like but you will need a car to get around and the time passed too quickly 🙂

Beautiful views and nice sized suite. Perfect for a few days away. In the summer the pool would be a great place to hang out.

It was cold weather so the suite was cold the first few days. Not the fault of the owner, just climate change.

Absolutely beautiful villa with gorgeous salt water pool, very peaceful and relaxing and so many nice touches including a well stocked honesty bar fridge, garden games, loan of a car and considerate attention from the hosts.

The most beautiful, quaint villa situated in the hills above Faro. Everything you could need provided by Sylvie and JC who were such kind, welcoming hosts. The apartments have everything you could possibly need. Every detail was catered to and it made the biggest difference in how magical our stay was. I stayed with my best friend. Couldn’t recommend it enough.
