The setting was beautiful, the facilities were good (especially the swimming pool), the food was nice and the staff were exceptional. Because our flight was cancelled, we had many problems which were solved effectively and with great kindness. These included: extending our stay, booking a hotel close to the airport for our last night, arranging transport to the hospital to get necessary medication (mine ran out during our extended stay) and contacting the airline to make sure that the promised flight booking was in place. All done with great competence and a smile. We were delighted.

The location is perfect, staff is helpful and there was a fantastic dog "Coffee" who was our faithful mate during our stay. Rooms are clean and nice. Breakfast was also very good. There are a lot of services and amenities offered by the hotel. If you like tranquility and nice landscape I can wholeheartedly suggest this hotel. I can suggest the restaurant as well if you don not want to travel far away for a good meal. Lisbon is around 40 minutes away by highway.

The one and only problem was the two wardrobe, which were antique pieces and therefore they smelled musty. Even if it is nice to see renovated old furniture in the room, we could not use it to store our clothes there because of the ancient smell.

Very warm greeting on arrival. Friendly and helpful staff and the location is excellent. The layout has been well thought out. Very comfortable beds and a clean environment.

Some instructions re. breakfast. We stayed two nights and our first breakfast had a wide range of very good quality items put out. However, on the second morning there were only a few items put out and we needed to ask for the others.

I cannot say enough about this gorgeous haven of a location. It was easily accessible from Lisbon (we traveled by ride share and the cost was very reasonable) but felt like we were tucked away in a remote location. The grounds were beautiful and clearly well-maintained. I felt completely at peace in the thoughtfully curated outdoor spaces. The staff was friendly and kind, always making sure that we felt comfortable and well-cared for. We felt like we were amongst friends. The continental breakfast was generous and tasty and the dinner options were delicious and prepared by an amazing chef we were happy to see at several meals throughout our stay. We enjoyed the spa, including massages, that left us feeling relaxed. Our room was well-appointed (and smelled amazing!) and we agree that the bed was the most comfortable we had throughout our entire trip to Portugal. We enjoyed leisurely walking the grounds and lounging by the pool and just felt so lucky to get to spend time here. I would absolutely recommend this location to anyone traveling to Portugal and cannot wait to return at some point in the future.

The location and everything else were absolutely perfect, but the food I received didn't match the quality that your resort deserves, which is a great shame. It's important that all aspects of your resort, especially the restaurant, make a strong impression on the overall stay. I recommend that for the price you're charging, the food should be much more substantial and varied.

Wonderful, polite and very kind staff and absolutely delicious local produce which was expertly cooked. We felt like we feasted!

We loved absolutely everything! The forest was peaceful and cooling and very easy to hire bikes to explore the surrounding area, which was fun and had distractions and trails for the children, which were enjoyed by all the family. Pool was perfect and we really enjoyed the spa facilities although getting my 11 year old out of the hot tub was a challenge!

Relaxing place, wonderful staff (including the happy dog called "Café", coffee in Portuguese). Breakfast was nice and the restaurant dinner was spectacular. Perfect place to spend your jetlag days.

The "Spa" needs improvement. The supposed "Turkish bath" was nothing but a jacuzzi (not very clean) on the ground and 2 small sauna cabins.

Our room was romantic, relaxing and beautiful. The staff were exceptionally warm and welcoming. The restaurant offered lunch and snacks as well as evening meal and breakfast. The pool area was a lovely space to relax. Lovely sauna & spa. As you can see, I a convert to this hotel and would love to visit again!

Whilst the bicycle hire was a great feature, it worked out quite costly for a short 1 hr ride, and also the "short" cycle route had a very steep downhill section - perhaps the hotel could modify this route / layout !

The facilities are great, so much to do about Relaxing. The SPA, Common room, the gardens, hammock. Breakfast is great. The bath was a special surprise and we thank for the update, it was great to know the place better. Certainly a place to relax and come back

Unfortunately even to go to the closest restaurant, it was impossible to go by foot with a baby in a stroller. The property itself is very accessible but the surroundings not so much. Room could be a little bigger.

The staff including,the resident dog! The manager waiter, Paulo was extremely concerned with our well being. His attentiveness enhanced the dining experience.Katarina , the hotels manager was equally attentive and lovely.Their combined presence offered a lovely experience.
