The room was clean, quiet and comfortable and in a great location in the center of the village--I feel badly I forgot to take a photo of it. We appreciated the parking literally right outside the front door of the hotel however as it was the off-season and raining that may not be a possibility for others later in the year. There's a small free parking area down the hill and another further away at the base of the hill. Maybe drop off your bags first before parking. After a long day of traveling, the easter candies and the hard biscuits were nice for a quick snack before leaving for supper. There were a couple restaurants nearby.... built right into the boulders.. where we had supper. Even though we were shrouded in clouds we had a wonderful walk up the mountain to the castle ruins.

Internet not the best. We had to unplug the room deodorizer as the fumes were strong for us.

GeoHotel offered modern facilities in the heart of a medevil location. Everything was above expectations, including breakfast. The staff very friendly and helpful with information. It was unfortunate our first visit was spoilt (see below), but we will return.

Unfortunately a couple of hours after our arrival, having seen the fantastic view from our balcony from this hill top location, the area was hit by a freak storm that not only surrounded the hotel in thick cloud and heavy rain for all of our stay, but also wiped out the electricity in the whole town for some 6hrs. This was obviously no fault of the hotel but did spoil our enjoyment of a fantastic location.

The building is located at the entrance of the town, making it easy to find and convenient for both sightseeing and staying. There are a few restaurants in town, but options are limited, so don't expect too much. The hotel breakfast included some hot dishes, which was appreciated. There is on-street parking nearby. Since it was the off-season, parking was easy, but the available space was not very large.

The hotel needs re-decoration in parts, bedheads, etc., PLEASE NOTE: Using MODERN IMPERVIOUS CONCRETE on old buildings causes damp, only lime mortar 3.5NHL should be used which is breathable ans matches the stones - all the concrete needs hacking off and rendering in lime properly. IT IS NO GOOD TO PAINT OVER THE CONCRETE AS THE DAMP WILL JUST APPEAR AGAIN. Whoever is in charge at the CAMRA does not know about historic buildings, and has not specified the correct materials.

The breakfast is not that great. It's standard but with not many options for vegetarians. Besides that, the cheese looked and felt like they were warmed up and chilled again. Not great

Monsanto GeoHotel Escola is located in Monsanto village with free parking available on the street nearby. As such, all local Monsanto sights are within walking distance. The staff was friendly and helpful with suggestions and answering questions. Out room and bathroom was very spacious. The neighborhood was quiet and our bed and pillows comfortable so we slept well. Breakfast was good with many different food selections. Highly recommend, would stay again.

Exceptional hotel in a very quaint setting. We visited Monsanta to get off the beaten path and were pleasantly surprised by the town and this hotel. Its a small hotel, but it complements the town perfectly and our stay here was just wonderful. The location, the breakfast and the staff were all exceptional.

Monsanto is a beautiful place to stay. The geohotel is conveniently located at the entrance to the city very close to a parking. The room I had, had a balcony with a beautiful view of the surrounding landscape. The staff was very pleasent and provided useful information about places where dinner could be obtained. The breakfast was good.

There were no negative points to mention.

We received a message from the hotel a few days before our scheduled arrival in Monsanto, letting us know that the hotel was having some electrical issues, and that there was no AC or elevator. They offered to switch our accomodation to a nearby guesthouse. Given the hot weather, we took them up on their offer. We were still able to enjoy the buffet breakfast in the hotel. We want to thank the hotel for the good communication, for letting us know about the issue in advance, and for making an alternate arrangement available. This clearly demonstrates their commitment to quality service and to taking care of their guests.

I stayed only one night here and I thought it was great. I can't remember the name of the guy at reception but he came out and suggested a couple of places to park my motorcycle. Basically 2 or 3 mtrs from the hotel entrance where there was more space. Wow the view I had from the front bedroom. Fab location. Breakfast was also great.
