location was perfect and staff were more than happy to give to you directions and any help that you may need and they all spoke very good english, the hotel was just a little out of the main shopping area of Castelo Branco but this was only a 10 min walk away. Breakfast was mostly a cold affair - a great choice of rolls, croissants and cakes, fresh fruit, yoghurts. cereal and scrambled eggs being the only hot option and pancakes, cold meats and cheese. Our room was spacious with a good size bathroom and air conditioning. It was cleaned daily and left spotless.

A charming old-world hotel in a great location. The room was very comfortable. The free wifi worked well. I was particularly impressed that they provided gluten-free bread for my breakfast, when all I'd asked was whether they had gluten-free options in their breakfast offerings.

Our only complaint is that we asked for twin beds but didn't get them. The reason was obvious once we arrived - there was a large group also staying at the hotel. The large double bed was very comfortable and the hotel successfully made great efforts to minimize the disruption from the large group on the rest of its guests. So, on balance, not really a complaint.

We had a great overnight stay here. It has a central location with nearby parking, our room had comfortable bed and shower with excellent water pressure. Everything was really clean. We pre-booked our breakfast, time and the breakfast was plentiful and tasty. The staff are lovely: very welcoming and helpful. As it was a Sunday, they suggested reserving a local restaurant for our evening meal, which they graciously did with our agreement. We would definitely return.

While the hotel is a little dated and missing some modern touches, there is very little not to like when considering the value for money this hotel offers.

The bed was big and comfy, we slept very well. The staff was very friendly and our little kid even got a small gift and some very cute, funny and friendly conversations with them. The shower was fantastic. The breakfast was very good and they even provided soy milk and other vegan options without asking for that in advance. We had a parking space right in front of the door. Very close to the hotel is a lovely vegan restaurant (the fast vegan).

The A/C has very bright digits that we covered with a shirt, so it didn’t disturb our sleep. The bathroom door didn’t lock well.

Great/quick check-in young lady. Parking (un-secured) on the street. Good A/C, good Wifi. Quiet location. Good hot water. Basic room. Good location to walk to all sites. Quiet location in the center of town. Small room but very clean location. Daniel USA.

Everybody was very friendly and helpful. The location was perfect and rooms were lovely and comfortable. Very good value for money ,and breakfast was tasty too ,would definitely stay again and will recommend to friends

Staff at reception were all exceptional. So friendly, cheerful and helpful. Very close to the centre, just around corner from cathedral. Easy to access, though Satnav did try to direct me the wrong way down the one way street In front of the hotel. Good breakfast.

Parking outside the hotel was full. Good public parking just around the corner, but I was lucky to just grab the last space. Had to haul luggage up the stairs. Not a huge issue as it was only one floor.

I have a massive dust mites allergies. As soon as I spent the night I started to sneeze and had a runny nose.

No elevator - bit hard on the knees if you're a smoker who has to go up and down often. Next time I'll ask for a room on the ground floor.

Centrally located close to several bars and restaurants. The room was very pleasant and the double bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was good with lots of choice. Parking near the hotel can be tricky as it does not have its own private car park.
