The hotel and room were clean and comfortable. Nothing too flash, but it was cheap and we were only staying for one night. It suited us perfectly! Also free parking with the room was great! We were told it was on a first come first served basis. Beware though, the space is very, very small.

Because it was cheap, I was not expecting much but breakfast was atrocious. I’m not a coffee snob, but I tried two coffees and just couldn’t drink either. Honestly, don’t bother. Down the road you can get amazing coffee and great pastries for cheap. To be fair, I would still stay there for the other advantages.

Nice little hotel in the center of Nazare. Close to all things you need. The room was clean and had all amenities typical for a hotel. Very helpful and friendly staff checked us in quickly and explained in details where to park our car (reserved parking slots are in the undercover parking lot located a couple blocks away and are free for hotel visitors). Air conditioner in the room was good and saved us from the heat during the day time (at night, you wouldn't even need it as in Nazare air temperature drops significantly even during summer heat waves).

Room was a bit dated, but nothing serious. Overall, very clean and all amenities working. Just saying that it might benefit from a cosmetic renovation.

Well located. Excellent staff. Comfy beds. Our room was a good size.Great buffet breakfast consisting of cold choices such as meat,cheese,yogurt,cereals, breads and spreads,juices, coffee,tea, fresh fruit. Breakfast room was carefully monitored to ensure nothing went unreplenished. Our room had a nice balcony for an end of day glass of wine(supermarket next door). Self serve and manned laundry across the street. Location is a short walk from the beach.

Nothing the property had control over, but our stay was marred by lots of jackhammering and other reconstruction noise next door from the start of the work day which was not the usual start time of our day. Also, the big draw in Nazaré is the beach so inevitably one tracks sand back to one’s room. It would have been nice to have a boot tray or heavy mat just inside our room to place outside shoes to avoid tracking the sand farther into the room.

The hotel Ancora Mar was a perfect location and within walking distance to everything. Close to the beach. The staff were fantastic! The hotel is older but well maintained and very clean. They have an elevator and a terrific free breakfast. Our room was spacious with a balcony. We didn’t have a view but maybe that is possible. Limited parking was available on a first come first served basis. It was challenging to get into the parking space a bit with tight turns but we managed. The staff came out to assist getting into the tight parking spot. Nazaré is very busy with people and small roads. Parking is a challenge so we were grateful to have a parking spot. We walked over to the elevator car to view the lighthouse and Praia do Norte. It costs 4 Euro for a return ticket. Nazaré has a huge assortment of restaurants available. Self serve laundry was available across the street.

What a great find. This is a small family hotel which is managed by the female owner and the staff is made up of ladies of the family. it is VERY clean and tidy. There is a rooftop small swimming pool and sunbathing area. There is a nice restaurant which is used for the buffet breakfast, which is varied and the staff are constantly making sure nothing runs out and the tables are quickly cleaned when vacated, The hotel is located in the centre of the town and only a short walk from restaurants the beach and bus stop. It was so good we stopped an extra night.

There are no USB sockets in the bedroom. It would be nice to have glasses in the bedroom, as well as paper cups.

Clean, breakfast is spot on. I was not expecting a massive choice considering what we paid per night but it was good and filled us up for the next day of travelling. We would definitely return to the hotel and Nazare again. Thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay.

Car park, if like us you have a low slung sports car we got stuck on the ramp to get out so I would advise finding alternative parking which again is quite difficult in the area around the hotel. That doesn’t reflect on how good the hotel was and value for money is superb.

Room spacious with air-condition. Breakfast is fixed included which I don't like. It was also mediocre. The juice tasted terribly artificial and the selection of topics is limited. Parking is difficult. You can get lucky and get one of the free spots that belong to the hotel. But if you drive away, someone else from the hotel can take it. And it's around the building in the basement and very narrow. An official parking garage is also available for 15 euro per day. The hotel staff is friendly but English commutation sometimes difficult. It took a while until we got the info that the pool gets closed around 8pm.

Location outstanding, moments from the beach in a very safe neighbourhood of Nazaré. The hotel staff were extra attentive to me, helped me to park my car and gave me excellent advice for navigating the upper part of Nazaré without the car.

There is construction that starts at 7am that is not the fault of the property. In my case, I arrived in Nazaré in the remnants of Cyclone Kirk, it would have been nice to stay in the room that morning but we couldn’t with the jackhammer noise and vibrating walls going all day.

Nice and comfortable! The staff was really. Just little remark, please control the cover bedlinen before laying, we sweated a lot during the night and the last day we realized that the plastic side was returned. For people who don’t sleep well, be careful with the rooms to the street side. There was quite a noise.

Unfortunately the wi-fi didn’t work, we had a room quite far, and there was an extender rooter, but with no internet connexion. We told it at reception but nobody comes to solve the problem.

Brilliant location! The pool was a very nice surprise. Our room was very nice and spacious.

The door was a bit thin, so anything happening in the corridor was heard very clearly in our room. No noise from other guests were heard. Breakfast fast a bit limited. There were no protein options that were lactose free. Though they did have lactose free milk on request.
