Perfect location as close to the beach and the funicular which takes you to the view point over the North Beach/Big wave lookout. The apartment has parking place to use when unloading and check in. Being a bit out of season, free parking was not a problem higher up on the street. The lift, good WiFi, easy check in got our thumbs up. Lots of restaurants in front of the hotel so area can get a bit noisy on weekends. Great bakery 2 min away is great for breakfast and the accomodation can provide breakfast in request .

We were upgraded to a room that face the beach/ ocean, and we enjoyed sitting on the deck people watching and admiring the view! It was perfect! The room was lovely and the bed was comfortable, linen’s were beautiful! Handy to have a fridge, microwave, and small but well equipped kitchen to cook some meals. Bathroom was small but very adequate and the shower/water pressure was excellent! There is an elevator. The staff were excellent and helpful. Noise was minimal!

Overlooking the central plaza and beach with a balcony and a good sized elevator, just perfect 4 night stay. The reception staff were hugely helpful, professional in every aspect, and had great restaurant recommendations. Private secure off site parking was very affordable, shopping was close, and beach walking and many tourist spots were immediately within walking distance. We would stay again without hesitation. Courtesy, convenience, and a room with a beautiful worldclass ocean view are hard to beat.

Nothing. We would love to have the opportunity to stay at Solar dos Carvalhos again. Some of the best seafood restaurants on the planet are within a two minute walk and the people are as friendly and helpful as we've ever met. Loved the place!

Location in main square, easy walk to everything, they allowed easy check in which was exceptionally helpful for us. They offered beach chairs umbrellas and gave us a room with an exceptional view. They gave us a complimentary bottle of wine and all the staff we dealt with were exceptionally friendly and helpful

Room and bathroom was very small but enough for overnight stay, figuring out parking was a little challenging, but they offer a private lot parking, so worked out fine.

Fabulous location, room with balcony and view over square and out to beach, lovely and helpful staff. It is an older hotel but we liked that and the owner is making changes to modernise - loved the corridor lighting!

Room was on the small side but this can't really be changed and was fine for us. The room could be refurbished, and better bed base installed. But the positives of our stay definitely outweighed these things.

The location was amazing! We had a balcony that had uninterrupted views of the ocean. Restaurants, shops, all within walking distance and the funicular to Sitio also a short walk. The receptionist was very welcoming and we received a bottle of wine on arrival. Clean, soft linen.

Only disappointment was we were only staying for 1 night. Wish it had been longer. Parking was a bit of a challenge but we parked a few streets away (free parking) and it was a short walk.

We requested a room with a balcony overlooking the sea, and it was so lovely. The balcony is large with an umbrella and a light at night. Location is perfect, super close to everything you need.

Not at all the hotel's fault but there's a loud grate on the road outside that clangs whenever a car drives over it! but you can't hear it when the balcony door is closed.

The location was exceptional We had full view of the ocean from our living area and balcony It was lively but we were not bothered by this. By the time we were ready to go to bed, it was time to close the doors and the nightlife did not bother us at all

This is not a show stopper but we prefer a softer bed. But even though it was hard we still enjoyed a good sleep in.

The apartment we got faced the ocean. It was beautiful. It had a balcony which overlooked the promenade. It was nice to sit on the balcony in the morning and at night to watch the sunset. It was very central to everything needed in the town. We enjoyed our stay very much and would recommend it to others.

We had an apartment with sea view which was fantastic. The apartment was very clean with a small kitchen with stove, kettle, microwave and toaster and plenty of cutlery, plates cooking utensils ect. The shower was amazing with multiple settings. We were literally a minutes walk from the beach, with plenty of options to eat and drink on the doorstep. The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. We will definitely stay here again.
