We really liked this hostel. It's right in the middle of Alcobaca with the unbeatable views out of the window: we could see both the monastery and the castle out of the same window - amazing! The room was surprisingly big with a very comfy bed. The bathroom was also a very good size. The shower was hot with good pressure. Everything was clean - the cleaning lady is lovely and friendly. We appreciated the option to use the shared kitchen. The staff were all smiley and chatty. The parking was not a problem as we stayed at the weekend and street parking is free from 13:00 on Saturday. Would stay again!

The hotel is nicely located just 10 minutes from bus station and stands next to the monastery with view from the windows overlooking main square. Bathrooms are shared but they are maintained in absolute cleanliness. The staff is sympathetic and helpful. Hotel has a terrace with nice view and well equipped kitchen

The location is in the city center, with a view of the Monastery from the window. There is everything nearby, shops, cafes, bars. Of course, there is noise from these bars, which is logical. There is parking on the next street. The rooms are quite comfortable for a hostel, everything you need is there. Clean and convenient.

The hotel is spotless! Very comfortable room with A/C, flowers, chocolates (!), TV with a lot of movie channels. 2 very clean bathrooms for 6 rooms. Clare was lovely! ...Very welcoming. Fantastic location. I could see the monastery from my window! Great value.

Other guests on the floor were there for a conference and milled about quite early 5:30, 6:30 in the morning. They were quite noisy -- but that is not the hostel's fault!

Central location, restaurants/cafes nearby, free parking can be found on streets behind the hostel. Good shared kitchen/terrace.

There is cafes right under the hostel with license to operate til 4am (at least on Friday/Saturday). The owner is trying her best to fight against this, and it can get noisy.

I've stayed at this hostel twice now, both times for a week and both times I stayed in a room with private bathroom. Great value, great location, and absolutely lovely staff!

Can't think of anything at all. I can imagine that in the summer, it could be a bit noisy with lots of people outside late, especially when there's live music on - but this was not an issue during the time periods I was there.

Super nice and well maintained hostel, right in the centre of this nice town. It’s in the main square with lots of bars and restaurants walking distance!

As it’s close to some bars, it might be loud at night especially during weekends.

The owner is very helpful. Location is perfect to visit thé Monastery. Bedrroom is confortable and there is a climtisor. 2 bathrooms on the floor, Each one is clean.

Everything was perfect.

Wonderful location!! Great staff. When we gently complained about neighbors who continued to be very noisy in the wee hours,we were given tarts, and moved to a huge room. Great service. We really enjoyed the terasse.

There were few outlets to charge our things. The room with bunk beds was tiny.. and we had difficulty finding room for our clothes.
