We were totally delighted by every part of our stay. Our hostess was very sweet, and she communicated well with us in English and French. She did everything to make sure our time there was comfortable and nice. There was a festival in town, so she was worried we'd need reservations for any restaurant, so she called and arranged for a dinner reservation for us at a place she recommended (which was fabulous!) The entire property was lovely, our room was spacious, and the bathroom was very modern. Everything was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was really good - breads, meat, cheese, yogurt, fresh fruit, homemade jams that were delicious, orange drink, and hot tea. (Coffee was offered, but we don't drink it.) Our second night, we had our own picnic outside in the garden at a table under an awning - beautiful!! The parking was either on the street or in the driveway - we appreciated that. We would definitely return to this lovely house with our wonderful hostess!

We can't think of a single thing. Everything was beyond our expectations and perfect!

Breakfast was wonderful! The whole house was furnished with antique furniture. They even built a fire in the fireplace for us. Parking right out front. Loved it!

We had to wait for an hour outside the house to be let in.

Note that it's family hospitality. Meaning, the house owner, which she is very nice, I'd living in the house and rent the rooms The breakfast is nice and the same goes for the hospitality

It was a delightful stay with all that we needed...it is a very good location and we could explore lots of places of our interests...thanks for taking such good care of us.

there are annoying stairs to reach the room but not a big issue breakfast is great but same every day. great fig homemade marmalade but missed eggs and more salty variety

Mattress was quite worn out on the sides, so I was not very comfortable sleeping on it.

The owner Helena is very gentle, she can help you a lot and is very flexible. Can speak French, English, and also other languages.

The breakfast was very good and the owner of property is a very nice lady, who took the breakfast with me and we talk a lot. Was very nice

The bedroom has no bathroom, but it was in front of my room, very, very near.

Hostess very friendly (like staying with your Mom), accommodation is rooms in her large house. Breakfast very good including homemade jam. Parking very easy directly in front of the house. Location convenient for sightseeing in the area just a few minutes from Alcobaca Monastery.

One warning: there are two sets of rooms and where we stayed was upstairs via a circular staircase, this was not a problem for us but might be for some people.

The breakfast was excellent and the owner allways checking if we were ok or needed something else. The room was very confortable.
