Location was great and within walking distance to restaurants and old town. The hotel provided us with beach chairs and towels which was very helpful. We got the third floor corner room with three separate sliding doors and two verandas with great beach and mountain views.

Street parking is nonexistent and driving in the area is a challenge. The hotel has parking in a nearby hotel which is a five walk from Mar Bravo. It was stressful to drive to the hotel to drop off the luggage. The area is super crowded and there were streets blocked off. The garage is sub ground and tight to maneuver. So, the only negative is the parking and dropping off and picking up the luggage, as it is impossible to wheel the luggage through the cobblestone sidewalks.

Comfortable room, great location, excellent restaurant in the hotel. Nice breakfast included with the room. There was a nice sitting area on the first floor with a great view of the beach. In our room, the bed was comfortable. The room had a mini-refrigerator, coffee maker, and electric kettle. Fantastic location, across from the beach in Nazare.

Upon arrival, we had some difficultly finding the parking to unload our rental car and check in. The parking for Hotel Mar Bravo is in the parking garage for their sister hotel, Hotel Praia, located a few blocks away. The parking was free, so that was good, but the parking garage had very tight turns and we had some difficulty parking our rental car. Not a major issue, but one that you should be aware of if you drive to the hotel.

Location is amazing! NW corner looking at beach and Nazare lighthouse. Only couple hundred yards to the Funicular. Many restaurants in the area. Staff was very friendly. Restaurant food was good.

I tried to eat lunch in the hotel restaurant my first day. But noisy dogs in the dining room was very annoying. One dog in particular keep yelping and barking. Dog owner didn't really care. I left hotel restaurant and went across the street to dine. The following day, I tried the hotel restaurant for lunch and was quite pleased to find no dogs. Lunch was good as was service. So I came back for a very nice dinner and enjoyed a lovely bottle of wine the waiter recommended.

It is comfortable, beautiful, and across from the beach with a beautiful view of the cliffs and the famous Faro. The restaurant downstairs is great! The room small but comfortable, very clean!

On a weekend night it is just loud outside until very late at night, so we had to close the windows, and even then it was hard to get good sleep. On arrival, parking to just unload the luggage is a problem. It is one spot, in a very tight situation, and we had to go around the block four times. They do offer parking at another property of theirs, pretty convenient, but the parking garage is very tight, and we decided we were not moving that car until we had to leave. We understand why it is that way, but would choose to park in the parking lot just outside of town had we known, or just not bring a car at all. I can't imagine what it's like during surf season!

From the beginning, it was exceptional. We arrived and immediately were offered assistance with our luggage. We had a place to stop outside the hotel for us to ferry the luggage inside. What a convenient and pleasant way to begin. Our room was spotless. The view (sideways) was much better than we expected. The breakfast, also much better than expected and much appreciated. We really cannot say anything was even slightly uncomfortable or inconvenient. Finally, each member of staff who greeted us at the reception desk could not have been more interested or helpful. If this all sounds too good to be true. All we can say is - come and see for yourselves.

Excellent location. Right across from the beach. The hotel restaurant served excellent food and had great service. Very enjoyable dinner and breakfast

Only issue is parking and checkin. The parking spot for checkin is roped off so it was not clear where we could park. We did not realize we were expected to move the rope. A police officer was monitoring parking and would not let us stay long enough to checkin. Obviously not the hotel’s fault, but perhaps better instructions regarding the one parking spot would help. Also when we were leaving, a work van was occupying that spot. The parking for the hotel is located a few blocks away at another hotel. A bit stressful and confusing.

What a gem by the beach! We stayed at this lovely hotel just a few steps from the ocean – literally, you can walk to the beach and even enjoy the view from the balcony. Waking up to the sea breeze? Yes, please! Only a 3-minute stroll takes you to the cable car, which brings you up to the famous viewpoint where the big waves crash – it’s a must-see! The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. We arrived before check-in time (oops!), but they still let us check in early – such a nice surprise! Oh, and the local food nearby? Delicious. You won’t go hungry here, that’s for sure. We’re already planning our return. Highly recommended for a chill beach escape with a little adventure on the side!

This hotel is in the perfect location. From our little balcony we could see one of the main squares as well as the ocean! The beach is huge and beautiful. Our room was super clean and not large but had everything needed. We even had a kettle and tea/coffee available. The breakfast was fantastic in the beautiful restaurant which has large windows overlooking the ocean (across the road). The desk staff were super helpful and pleasant. You are in the heart of the tourist part of town so close to restaurants, shops and the funicular that takes you up to the upper part of the town. We happened to be there during Carnival so it was pretty raucous - but we enjoyed sitting on our balcony of the third floor watching the silly festivities. The accessibility to the beach was excellent and the views were incredible.

The parking garage was a bit of a walk away (10 minutes) but we were grateful to have a place to park so it was all good. It's a very safe area so no concerns with walking even at night.

The location cannot be beat. If you like being in the middle of the action and as close as you can get to the beach. The accommodations were very clean and comfortable. We were provided with a comfortable pack and play for our little one free of charge. The breakfast was outstanding and the staff were the nicest people and so kid friendly. There are lots of restaurants right downstairs including the hotel one. Snacks and coffee are always available for guests in the lobby.

The rooms are on the smaller side and during weekend nights it does get loud even with the window closed.

Excellent location on less busy end of the street along the beach, very clean, friendly & helpful staff, breakfast buffet with many choices, short distance to a nice little laundromat, & a few blocks walk to the funicular(highly recommended). The little balconies have a good side view across street to the water, not just a sliver like some “ocean view” ads. We would definitely stay here again. Nazaré was also interesting & not crowded at all. Maybe other times of year it might have more of a party vibe, but lovely this last week in May.
