Staying at Hotel Jardin Viana do Castelo was pretty flawless. Beautiful old hotel building with all the modern comforts. Spacious room, loved the windows with a view. Bed and beddings well affixed and very comfortable. Room was dark and quiet. I loved the excellent breakfast provided in the morning - so helpful to pilgrims wanting to start walking. The staff were all very congenial and helpful. They went above and beyond in working with me in how I might retrieve a minor item I left in the room.

The staff were really excellent and very diplomatic when handling a person checking in a large group of people; the person was not being particularly pleasant. The room was airy and very comfortable. The bathroom was clean and well designed. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Excellent location near restaurants, the water and a lovely park.

Because the hotel is right on a major street it was a little noisy but it was bearable because of the view over the water.

The location was quiet and surrounded by beautiful views like the river, castle at the top of the hills and the amenities were so satisfied. I think the hotels should be given more rating according to their hospitality including breakfast. It was continental buffet breakfast and the most important thing was they serve us a fresh baked crossiant in front of us. Thanks for your hospitality.

The location was wonderful- right on the camino. The shower was hot and had great pressure and the staff was super kind and helpful. I was able to secure an incredible last minute reservation for dinner because of the help. My room was also dark and the hotel was quiet. Overall, I feel confident in recommending it.

The only downside I experienced was the bed wasn't as comfortable as I hoped. That said, I did have a cut on my back which didn't help.

Great location – though it also means being on a busy main street, so expect some noise until midnight. It's close to the main square and a good starting point for exploring Viana do Castelo. The place has a unique atmosphere, and the breakfast was tasty.

The hotel is in a great location, very close to the Camino. It's an older hotel, rooms are worn, but the room was OK. The staff was friendly and helpful. They had some nice souvenirs you could buy there. Breakfast was good.

Did not like the mustard-yellow toilet and bidet bowls. The shower had a glass half-width wall. The drain didn't slant and was in the middle of the shower, so water flooded the whole floor.

The elevator was very nice as always so many floors. For us their 1st floor is the second floor. Good to know that if you have walking issues. Very clean, bright rooms. Love the pink decor. Huge bathrooms and beautiful balconies. Was quiet and right on the water.

Hard to get wifi on the 2nd floor but the front desk helped and all was good. 👍

Nice clean hotel on the Camino. The Rooms were basic but decorated very nicely. I had a double room. No view of any kind, just a narrow street with buildings. Hair dryer was old, but thankful there was a hairdryer. Breakfast is included. This is a pretty hotel with basic accommodations. But, a perfect stay on the Camino!!

A charming family owned and run small hotel. Sparkling clean and fantastic location. Friendly staff and adequate breakfast. Very quiet, you can't hear other guests and the street in front of the hotel is quiet at night

We stayed here for just over a week and we felt very welcome. The breakfast was delicious with an assortment of offers. The staff were friendly and professional. Would happily return here again!
