The location is nice, with a view to the Lima river. Though a bit to the side, the centre is within about 10 minutes' walk. The staff is friendly. And it is quiet. Breakfast is fine, though you can't say very rich, but more than enough. The room was spacious (double room with a bathroom), and a nice balcony as well. No air conditioning but a powerful fan did a good job. The only thing that bothered me were the mosquitoes. A mosquito net somehow would make the place perfect for budget travellers. I recommend it.

They let me check in at 3.30pm (early), 4 bed female dorm with free towel provided (only 2 of us in it). There was a kitchen with a cooktop. Living room had TV with movies in English. Shower gel in shower. Paper towels in bathroom. Individual light by bed. Cotton sheets and a duvet provided. Great breakfast (bread rolls and bread for toast, ham, cheese, tomatoes, cucumbers, apples, bananas, oranges, yoghurts, several cereals, jams and honey, teas, coffee, hot chocolate and orange juice). Room had an outdoor patio and a wardrobe each with one coat hanger each person. Room was quiet. Location good for Coastal Camino Portuguse (camino goes left as you come off Ponte Eiffel but hostel is to the right about two blocks).

Lots of showers available but water and lights on very short timers. Only a few power outlets in room and they were not next to bunks.

We were swimming in a nearby river. Terrace is great for an evening drink. The shop is not far away.

Breakfast is too late for peregrinos.

4 night stay. Spacious twin room with awesome shower. We placed duvets ontop of the mattresses, so it made the beds more comfy. Balcony had views of park and river. Breakfast was cold continental, and plenty of it. There has been a second gas hob installed since the pictures were taken. Youll need a lighter. No oven, but a microwave. Parking right outside, and only a 10 minute walk into the main city. Not many guests during our stay, so it was quiet in the building.

The side of the hostel where our room was, was next to a cobbled road, and it was pretty noisy as cars went by into the early hours and from around 6am. Take earplugs.

The hostel was in a really good location, around 15 minutes from the city center and with a super-nice view on the river. There is a small beach just 2 minutes away. The hostel was big and well-organised. The rooms all had balconies with river view, and there was enough space and storage for the luggage (own lock is needed). The staff was super friendly and helpful evern though I accidentally booked a male dorm... For the price I had a super good experience there.

The only thing I really disliked was the kitchen. There was almost no equipment, like one cutting knife and one board, etc. So, if there had been multiple people wanting to cook, it would just not have been possible. Also, because of the size, the kitchen and bathroom were not super clean. Further, the breakfast was really basic. The bread was not very filling and there was not much to put on it. But for the price it was more rhan okay!

Reception staff were amazing - so polite and helpful. We dropped our bags off before check in. Lovely spacious room with a balcony and a view. There is a communal kitchen to prepare food. This is very beautiful and modern accommodation and it was a real treat to stay here. Breakfast in the morning had choice and was plentiful.

The corridors and the large communal area are large and carry all the sounds. There were large groups of young people staying here the same night as us so it was very noisy in the communal shower rooms and communal spaces until late. It is a hostel so to be expected to some degree. This is right on the beach which is very picturesque - don't expect to swim though as it is like sinking sand.

Good place to stop and have a rest day along the Camino. Spacious rooms, balcony, reasonably comfortable beds, short walk into town. Breakfast was basic but adequate considering the price. Staff were friendly and helpful, 24 hour front desk also convenient.

Washing facilities on site would have been nice, closest laundromat is about 10-12 minutes walk. Shared kitchen facilities were a bit run down but still useful.

Great location, easy to find, very respectful and kind staff and amazing view. Breakfast included in price is very simple, yet sufficient. A bit aged bathrooms, but well kept and clean (you should take bathroom flipflops no matter how the place is clean, so your camino pilgrimage doesn't give you athlete's foot as a souvenir). Just make sure you have dinner before 8 pm, then the life in Viana do Castelo doesn't exist.

Good location, river front, to the right of the Camino, about 200m, after crossing the bridge. Although not in the historical center, it’s a great option if you’re not pressed by time (check-in at 4pm, breakfast starts at 8am). Cristela and Vitor are most welcoming and helpful, breakfast (included) is buffet-style but there is also a (basic) kitchen if you want to cook your meals. I would stay again and recommend.
