We really loved this place. Location is very pretty and quiet. The reconstructed village properties have the feel of a by-gone era, and our room was designed accordingly. Therefore it feels rustic which may not be to everyones tastes but it was really special. It wasn't especially warm in the 3 days we were there (April but many winds and showers) but we were warm enough with the little electric radiators and I am sure more bedding would be available if needed. The staff were very kind and helpful, even helping out when our terrible hire car would not start on departure.. Pool area also looked lovely. Bikes can be hired (although we did not) and there are many lovely walks near by. Felt like a bit of a hidden gem, would certainly return if in the area.

The kitchen could be better equipped.

Slow village concept - there’s no phone signal and TV. But There’s good wifi throughout if needed. Rooms/houses were rebuilt to maintain the caractherics of traditional village, with addition to modern comfort - they have a very well equipped kitchen, and a very good shower. Great restaurant within complex serving b’fast, lunch and dinner, and a great pizza place in the vilage. They also provode rental bikes to explore the area and assist arranging suf lessons. They are very knowledgeable about the area and gave us great advise on ehich beaches to visit, restaurants etc It’s silent at night anf everyone os very friendly.

They could provide fans. Our house could get quite stuffy at night.

We are always returning because the location is fantastic, decoration simple and elegant and slow vibe with no Tv or cell (wi-fi works great). They accept dogs before it was a trend

This house was very hot and a little humid comparing with other. Impossible to ventilate better. Bathroom needs maintenance in some equipments to value prices charged.

Beautiful location inside a typical Algarvian village. Clean and very simple house. Close to Rota Vicentina, the most beautiful sea zone in Portugal. Restaurant for dinner is traditional and very good.

Very cool concept of giving a new destination to an abandoned village. The staff is great and friendly, the rooms are well renovated and beautifully decorated. And breakfast was also very good.

Too cold. Only 2 small electric stoves, which definitely don’t do the job in winter time. These houses need a wooden stove or airconditioning for sure. And also a smart tv would be nice in 2025. We hope to come some day, but only in summer time, for now.

We wanted to cook in the room, and there were not even salt and pepper, but the staff helped us with that. Shower could be in a better state. Living room is a bit dark.

Lovely modern updated rooms with antique furniture keeping the old style cottage atmosphere. Comfortable, huge bed , lovely smooth sheets . Kitchen had everything to make meals, but could supplement this with dishes from the restaurant: we had vegetable soup & chips which they brought over to the house for us & were excellent 👌

Quiet and clean with full kitchen amenities & an outdoor pool! Since it is a village only 2 restaurants on site and not much else to do but to relax and enjoy the quietness. Definitely worth the experience when in Algarve region & cool story how this village was brought back for non locals to enjoy.

Breakfast selection not worth the money.

Nice quiet village with the aura of history. Welcoming staff, clean appartments, nice patio with view on mointains and olive trees. There was an outside pool, but we did not use it because of the weather, but it looked nice.

Bed was not so comfortable and springs made loud noises when turning at night. A bit far from beach.

Beautiful preserved village with friendly staff. The detail of the room is well thought out and very stylish. We had a great dinner at the restaurant, great value and delicious wine. Staff on-site make check in / out easy.

A little bit of privacy is lacking but if you don’t care then it’s not a problem.
