The location was perfect, very tastefully decorated/designed, the lighting, the comfort. Close enough to town but exquisite peace and quiet. The flexible check out time, given the need to make new arrangements due to the power outage, was very welcome.

I was here during the power outage. Directions were written on paper with no Google maps :) The sign from the road is hidden by greenery and has graffiti on it, which didn't give a good impression. Once electricity was restored, I'd have appreciated a kettle. Mosquito protection on the main doors would have been helpful.

Family of 4, stayed for one night, spent the morning in Porto civo and afternoon in vila de Nova milfontes. I would recommend a 3 night stay to get the most of it. The surrounding area is lovely for days out Accommodation is clean and spacious. We have an apartment with a terrace and rover view, and it was lovely. It's a very tranquil and lovely, peaceful evening after spending the day exploring. Kitchen facilities include kettle, toaster, and hob. We enjoyed local meats, olives, etc, on the terrace

Bathroom light didn't work ... but small issue

Our stay here was wonderful. We were lucky to have beautiful weather, so took advantage of our sunny verandah on the water's edge from morning to night. Our apartment was clean and well equipped for self catering, but the hotel is near enough town for shops and restaurants too. We had the place to ourselves (it being midweek in early March), so it was very peaceful and tranquil. We did not use the swimming pool or courtesy bar, and as it is low season, breakfast was not provided. The gardens and lagoon are lovely. Parking is easy and convenient. Daily cleaning was provided if wanted. We would definitely return to this hotel.

It was exceptional. We got an entire apartment in the main house (one of two apartments), and it was hands down the best apartment we’ve stayed in. It was huge (about 60sqm), nicely distributed, right above the pool and with breathtaking views. The location is unbeatable- 5km away from Vila Nova and so much calmer than the town. In the morning, you smell freshly baked bread and fried bacon by the lovely cook and see an elegant gardener watering the beautiful plants and flowers around - it feels like a true villa escape. Will definitely come back!

Beautiful location, lovely property with atmosphere and character. Facilities a little dated but this is no problem to us.

We missed air-conditioning as we had to keep windows closed due to mosquitos, even just an electric fan would have been helpful.

What an absolute gem of a place. Couldn't fault it in any way - absolutely stunning location, the view from the accommodation is just beautiful. Very quiet, peaceful, gorgeous garden and pool area, everyone who worked there was very nice. The room was fabulous, great kitchen facilities. We absolutely did not want to leave and it was the highlight of our trip!

Check in was a bit weird. You have to check in in the hotel.which is in the centre of VN de Mil. We didnt feel like driver into the village. Because we arrived during day time. We could go directly to the apartments. Check in after 16 is late. If you only stay one night.

High quality accommodation in a beautiful peaceful setting. The description and photos did not do it justice - far better than expected.We loved it ! Sarah, our English speaking host was very friendly and helpful going above and beyond to make our stay as successful and enjoyable as possible.

The unmade road track to the property and narrow causeway were a little difficult to negotiate in our hired vehicle but the location made the effort well worthwhile.

The little house was really cozy and well equipped, the staff is nice and you have plenty of beaches nearby to visit.

4 p.m. is a little too late for a check-in. Also, a house that has so much water nearby is obviously surrounded by mosquitoes at night, so it's a real shame that there were no windows with protective net. We had to sleep with everything closed because of that, and it gets really hot inside.

Amazing place and landscape and houses. We already rented there 3 diff houses, all super. Some details could realy be better: always mold in all the bathrooms, sometimes old fournitures (depend the house), no washing machine
