Excellent location. Luxury feeling. Tallest building in the area so the rooftop bar was exceptional. Nice facilities like the pool, gym, and hammam.

The staff was helpful but a bit passive. Kind but not super friendly. On Friday there was a party in the next building which made a lot of noise until 3am. There could be hooks in the room in which you can hang stuff. They served coffee to the table at breakfast which was nice but sometimes it took long to get the first cup of coffee. There was a tobacco smell on the corridors and sometimes in the room.

The standout feature of this hotel is undoubtedly its location. Situated right on Taksim Square, it offers unparalleled convenience for exploring Istanbul. The area is truly vibrant, with a lively atmosphere that continues late into the night. I also appreciated the generous size of the room. Having a comfortable and spacious environment made my stay much more enjoyable. The view of Istiklal Street from the room was also a nice touch, offering a constant glimpse of the city's energy. Furthermore, the hotel provides convenient parking, which is a significant advantage in such a central location.

While the breakfast was acceptable for a five-star hotel, it didn't quite reach the level of luxury I might have expected. My main drawback, however, was the price, which I felt was a little on the higher side.

It was a six days trip with my family from busy life to istanbul to smell a lovely air, see a beautiful places and to shop for a year . It was the first time being in marmara Taksim with me but was not with my sister as she was in this hotel more than 10 years ago and it is the same according to her. Well coming staff especially on reception mr. Seraj was kind and helpful. Clean hotel and nice food. Quite corridors. Near to metro station as a suitable transport just cross a small road and you will be there, taking you to wide istanbul. Room service was available and helpful cleaning room on time and refilling every thing for your comfort. You will find a beautiful Istiklal road beside you full of shops just have a nice walk through and you will reach Galata tower a piece of history with a delicious Turkish coffee and delights there. For dinner, i have every night dinner in khalil Usta small beautiful restaurant after around 300 m from hotel to eat Lahmajoon. If i will return to istanbul again i will be in Marmara taksim too

- Staff : From the doorman welcoming you, to the reception staff and the cleaning crew, we just received warm, professional and respectful interactions. Everyone working there makes your stay feel relaxed and safe. - Cleanliness : The hotel, Facilities and the Room were extremely clean. The room service/cleaning crew were doing amazing job. We did not have proper routine in leaving our room, but they were always happily ready to clean our room when we asked. In doing so the crew were extremely observant and respectful about our privacy and stuff. They would correctly identify which part of our stuff in the room to not touch or move, and superbly clean and freshen up the rest of the room. We really appreciated it, feeling secure leaving our room and coming back to it. - Room view : We stayed at 6th floor, from 20 floors of the Hotel, and the City View was beautiful. You will see Taksim Square, people walking around and the skyline of Istanbul in the background is amazing. - Air condition : really happy with AC. It cools down the room efficiently and does not make much noise. - Pool : Maybe one of the biggest highlights of our trip. We searched so much for an affordable Hotel with Swimming pool in Istanbul. And I have to say you will not find many options. The swimming pool exceeded our expectations. It is located on a side roof, on the other side of Hotel (not Taksim Square Side), which makes it to have the beautiful Sea View. It was extremely clean and well kept. The staff were present all the time taking care of the surrounding. Water was pleasantly cool for the summer heat. Many sun beds. towels and slippers to your liking. every day we started our day by going to swimming pool, swim for a bit and lay down to get some sunlight in a relaxed environment. - Location : The location was perfect for us. next to Taksim. all we needed was in walking distance. - Noise : we had no issue with noise from Taksim in the nights. it was not loud at all.

Nothing to be Honest. I have to mention that upon arrival based on my request for a room not close to oof club, the reception mentioned to me that they have considered it and also upgraded our corner room to Deluxe room. Perhaps the corner room would be a bit small for us based on some reviews I had read here, but as far as our experience in the deluxe Room, it was perfect.

Breakfast was not up to expectations and some of the staff working at restaurant and room service were juniors and not paying enough attention to customers

The facilities are excellent- a great pool area, gym and Restaurant. The staff were always helpful with a particular thanks to the concierge team. The Okra restaurant was excellent and probably the best one we went to in Istanbul. Breakfasts were great and is served until 11 am. The Club Lounge is worth upgrading to as the cost of alcohol is very high. Overall, we had a great stay.

The air conditioning was inefficient and we had to ask 3 times for it to be fixed. Eventually it sort of worked! Be aware the rooftop bar is not owned by the hotel and the drinks are extremely expensive!

My stay at The Marmara Taksim was fantastic from start to finish. The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of Istanbul, and the hotel itself is beautiful. The staff were incredibly kind and professional, always ready to help with a smile, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. One of the best parts was the Club Lounge—a peaceful space with absolutely stunning views over the Bosphorus and the city. It was the perfect spot to relax with a coffee or drink. My room was spacious, spotless, and also had amazing views. Waking up to that each morning was a real treat. Everything about this hotel felt thoughtful and high quality. I would definitely stay again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Istanbul.

Not many amenities were provided in the room and very little number of complimentary coffee and water came with the room

The hotel has a great location to istiklal street, Taksim square, Taksim mosque and the T1 tram lines for kabatas or Bagcilar through the funicular. Good access to all major stops with the metro. We had an early morning flight arrival and the hotel let us check in early to rest. This was a big win for us and hugely appreciated! Beds and pillows comfy. Took a bosphorus view room and we had an amazing view of all historic sites from our room.

Not enough water provided in rooms. Guests need at least 2 bottles of complimentary water each day. Our coffee cups and coffee pods would not be replaced with new ones after cleaning and we had to phone housekeeping to request but this would be attended to immediately. Prices at the Upperrist were a bit excessive but the view is wonderful.

Location was perfect, right in the centre of Taksim square which means there's lots of restaurants serving alcohol around. Some areas of Istanbul are 'dryer' than others. We had a club corner room, meaning we had access to the club lounge for breakfast and happy hour, which we definitely made use of (complimentary local wine, named spirits and hors d'oeuvres which were lovely). We also had a nice breakfast in the lobby restaurant where they have more choice and an omelette station. The pool area was great with a fantastic view over the Bosphorus river and Marmara sea. No onsite pool restaurant but the staff in the pool/spa reception are happy to order you drinks and food from the lobby restaurant which is then brought to you. The Okra restaurant on the top floor was fabulous, they had some very good wines (couldn't see champagne on the menu but when we asked they had a choice), which was lovely. Just be warned that imported wine (for example French, Italian) is extremely expensive. Bottle of Mumm was £130 anywhere in the city and that's just the standard stuff! Local wines are much cheaper though. The Upperist rooftop bar was a lovely touch with a great view but beware it gets very busy on Friday and Saturday nights, mostly young people having a fab time to ambient music. Used the spa, had a couples massage, which was a first for us and enjoyed it immensely. The ladies doing the massage are strong, its not a relaxing thing, but they seem to know what they are doing.

We paid extra for a club corner room so we could use the club lounge, which we have no complaints about at all. But like many hotels, the room wasn't really big enough or didn't really have much useable storage space. The bathroom had no shelves for toiletries or pegs for hanging towels, dressing gowns, etc. The hotel is very nice, the lobby is great and but for the small room and lack of storage, it would have had a higher score. Having said that, I would probably go back.
