Right by the beach. Heated pool. Big beds.

Bathroom door doesn’t keep privacy sound wise. AC didn’t have a remote (or we just couldn’t find it) for us to control room temp. No elevators. It was a struggle getting up and down the stairs with huge luggages.

This is one of my favorite hotels in PR. The location to the beach and walk-ability around the area is top notch.

Staff isn’t to hospitable and you had to find them most of the time.

i loved the view from the balcony, the ambiance and inside the lobby, room, pool were absolutely beautiful! it’s a very short walk to the beach. A lot of places are within walking distance to eat. The water pressure was definitely giving and the hot water and ac were perfect. Overall, I think it was a beautiful place and yes everything is a little outdated but i don’t think everything needs to be modernized. Really enjoyed my whole stay.

I did have issues with the room key, it could’ve been user error but my door didn’t lock and it wouldn’t lock it back. I’d have trouble opening the doors sometimes. There were a few cleanliness issues but nothing so severe that it ruins my perception of anything. You can hear everything that goes on in the hallways and carrying my luggage up 3 flights killed me but again, that’s a me thing. The view and the ocean sounds override everything though, in my opinion. This stay is very worth it.

You get what you pay for most times, so i try to be realistic with my expectations. I was traveling solo so i wasn't trying to impress anyone and just needed a place to sleep and shower. So the acacia met my needs. It was all very decent. The front desk crew was friendly and helpful. The restaurant was pretty good and a very nice competent crew. If I was paying more, I would have expected much nicer.

Well, the TV in the room didn't work (could have just been remote batteries) but didn't care enough to inform anyone. Couldn't adjust the AC in the room for 5 days. It was set at 61 which got cold if I didn't open the window and balcony door. Went to front desk to ask about that and said there was a remote which I couldn't find so i left it alone. The only thing that bothered me really was the janky chairs on the balcony, they were total shit. One was a $20 piece of plastic that felt like it was going to crack in half and the other was a random super old wooden chair with a cushion that you would find in a hospital waiting room. It was coming apart at the seams and decided it was unusable if I didn't want to end up on the deck.

Really nice and clean and quaint property. This was our second time staying at Acacia and we loved the feel of the place! The rooms we all stayed in (a group of some 10 people) were comfortable. The staff was generally helpful and did their best to fulfill requests. Would recommend staying here!

Toiletries in the bathroom would be a nice touch though not obligatory. The biggest problem was a lack of staffing during the overnight hours and signage. By that I mean that on our last night at about 4:15AM, a smoke detector went off. There was no signage at the front desk instructing who we should call in such an overnight emergency situation. Had to call 911 in order to get someone from the sister property to come over. There IS such a number sign, but on the door OUTSIDE of the property. Absolutely needs to be at the front desk counter as well. This caused several of my fellow guests to lose at least an hour of badly needed sleep.

A day before travelling I read the reviews from Acacia and I got nervous as many reviews are bad and the overall score is a 6.4 on booking. I’m a frequent traveler (93 countries) and I must honestly say my 3 night stay was perfect, ( almost perfect ) specially if you compare it with the price paid. Location was just excellent, not on the beach but with just one apartment complex between the hotel and the beach, check in gentleman friendly at 10 pm, lady by check out friendly. Room is “old fashion golden girls style “ but not worn out, it’s kept in good condition which is maybe the sharm of this hotel , walls painted well, everything was working and nothing damaged. Our room had a good shower , always hot water , WiFi was working okey, large balcony with ocean view. Very quiet, also quiet area but within 5 minutes walk to the noisy Condado. I really think this hotel deserves a better rating than the 6.4 they have now .

As I mentioned everything was good, specially for the price we paid. Few details that could be improved or added, some room furniture could have a better cleaning ( only dust tho, No other dirt, due to old wood furniture ) and the room would be more comfortable with a small fridge and a kettle or coffeemaker, since there is no breakfast in the hotel.

The desk clerk Johanna was never at the desk, she would say she would do something and then forget about your request.

The property have a great location is right in from of the beach , is near the stores, gas stations , restaurant and bars.

There is no parking for rental cars, no vending machines, the pool was way too hot and we couldn’t even go inside the pool . Room service was not very pleasant. More items needs to be included at least a vending machine, microwave or coffee machine.
