Great rooms, good size and well equiped. Close proximity (10 min walk) to the MRT and good location on Orchard Road

Reception desk staff. Only one person attending to clients, long line of people waiting to check in and out with other staff looking on. 20 minute wait is somewhat inconvenient when other staff are standing by doing nothing and noting the queue.

The location was excellent. Right in the heart of Orchard Road where you could cut through Claymore Connect right to Orchard Road. The room was clean & well equipped. Breakfast was good with fairly good selection of food. Nice hotel if you are travelling alone or with another person.

The mannerism of the hotel staff can be improved. Giving an excuse such as 'we are short of manpower. I am doing 3 person job' was not my problem although I feel sorry for him. Staff seemed overworked therefore lashing out to customers seem to be the only way for them to destress?? The hotel room was really small & for the first time, we were given standard single bed so they will tiny. Not the usual super singles that one will get in hotels.

Thoroughly appreciated the breakfast spread. The room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. The location of the hotel was a short walking distance to Orchard Road itself but we liked walking around the neighborhood.

Check-in and check-out was an unnecessarily long, and dragged out experience. The front desk staff were understaffed and the check-in lines were long and slow. Even after check-in if I have a small request, such as asking for an extra key to my room etc. I had to stand in queue for a long time to get to the front desk staff. There is much room for improvement on this front.

Location was very good. Breakfast spread was excellent. Room was good too. Only problem we had was reaching the In room dining through the device placed in room. It was not working. Every time we had to order we had call the reception which was difficult get through. We had to call the reception repeatedly for them to pick up. Then they would inform room service to call our room to order. This was frustrating and time consuming.

Staff were freindly and helpful ,there was no hassle getting help in reagrds to room service,it was clean and spacious bedroom ,ample mirrors to get ready ,had a good time and xmas decor was a wow factor enjoyed taking photos and love the location where we walked down the street to shopping plaza and catching hop up bus was just down the corner.

,,only drawback was the water i dont like taking water from toilet /bathroom tap and it will be good if they can provide bottled or distilled water ,the phone charger wasnt working and only one connection , lucky we brought our own plugs and it was smooth running.

I love the Orchard Hotel. It is close to the popular expat hang, Tanglin Mall which is one of our favourite parts of Singapore. Had a professional check in with Len. He was very helpful and accommodating. The room was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Tina has the breakfast room well in hand as always. She’s like mum - checks on you and makes sure you have everything. The breakfast is absolutely amazing. So many choices. Beats many of the other Singapore properties by a country mile! Thank you Orchard for another great stay.

The location was great, the hotel is connected to a mall with a grocery store, massage place, starbucks, an Irish pub, and a good Japanese restaurant. We stayed at the claymore wing and our room was renovated however our friends stayed at the other wing and their rooms were kinda old and small, really small. I read reviews about noisy neighbors and we did experience that but it was resolved within five minutes after informing reception.

No one helped us with our luggage when we arrived. They are understaffed, they only had one person at the reception at 12 noon. They have computers for self check in and check out but I kept on getting an error so I always had to line up. Breakfast was repetitive. Not enough drawers in the newly renovated room.

Very good breakfast. Excellent service for Millenium members in the lounge. Very courteous staff at each point starting and ending at the reception (even though the computer at reception takes too long to respond - it seems). The old lady handling my laundry on 16th floor was Extremely polite and attentive. The house keeping were very efficient.

A) Very Important The neighbourhood of Orchard House is a bit shady and the 17th floor lounge seems to have no objection to such companions accompanying the guests there, even though other families are present (wives & daughters of guests) B) The computer speed at the reception - Both for check in and for check out. C) The Lounge did not have any normal scotch whiskey for the entire duration of my 5 days stay and kept serving me bourbon whiskey.

Great location. Easy walking distance to Orchard Rd shops. So easy to get around, there's a supermarket behind the hotel along with a pub and cafe. Room was great, very clean, modern, quiet and well set up. Bed was huge and shower was really strong (and hot). Theres a bar fridge to store snacks. There are usb charging ports all around the room, heaps of power points, plus a kettle, hairdryer and ironing board + iron. Pool is good, quite a few lounges, some tables and some covered areas out of the sun too. I used the gym a few times on my stay - it has free weights, some cardio and strength machines and a lat pulldown etc. Wifi was fast and easy to connect to and stayed connected as you moved around the hotel. And the lifts are fast! which is a plus in a hotel of this size. It was busy due to a long weekend and I never had to wait around long. I didn't get to try the breakfast as the line was out the door on the public holiday Monday - i'd recommend definitely pre-booking breakfast the night before to get a spot and the cheaper rate.

I couldn't figure out how to turn off the large 'frame' light around the tv when the main power switch was on, and i didn't like how the tv turned on every time you came into the room and put your keycard in the power slot thing. A minor issue!

Loved that the hotel is situated on Orchard road and is central to a lot of things- great shopping, food courts restaurants all within a short walk or taxi drive away. The staff are very accommodating and friendly. The concierge was kind enough to recommend some great spots to eat and places to see. Buffet breakfast was excellent. I would definitely stay here again.

Shower pressure could have been a little stronger. Also felt the bar fridge was not getting cold enough. - Not a deal breaker though.
