Location and very smart.

We had ants all over the kitchen at one point. They also took all payments up front including putting through (actually charging) an incidentals deposit of $500. So having used a UK credit card, I was charged conversion rate and a fee for use abroad. When I left the receptionist did a credit for the money and glibly said ‘don’t worry, you will get the money back in 2-3 weeks! I will get the same fees again. When I told her no other hotels did this she became really aggressive and I had to tell her not to get aggressive with me.

Need exhaust fan. When we're cooking the smell is stay inside the room unless we open the door to release it

We’ve booked a 1-bedroom apartment for us and our daughter, so her bed was in a living room. We rearranged the room slightly so that she did not have to sleep facing the entrance door. The kitchenette was decently equipped (a big fridge, microwave with oven, cooking hub, plates, pans, cutlery). We got some complementary food for a start (eggs, bread, butter, milk, cornflakes, juices), so no stress with our first breakfast. The room was very clean (cleaning 3x per week, but fresh towels were delivered at request anytime). The staff were very nice and helpful. Each time food ordered on GRAB app delivered to our room by concierge.

The hotel is very clean but it's already a bit tired. Small things but still (the kitchen furniture smelling with humidity, some missing tiles in the pool, the pull-out line to hand clothes in the bathroom was broken)

Staff were very helpful and accommodating. The apartment building was well presented and felt very clean and safe. The location was very good; not too near noisy roads but walking distance to four different MRT stations. Pool was very nice. The provisions supplied (coffee, butter, cereal etc.) were much appreciated after a long flight

Because of their age, the interior of the apartments felt a little bit dated; for example not many electrical sockets in the rooms - difficult to find one to dry your hair near a mirror!

Clean apartment, great location! Wonderful pool, and so good to be able to use hotel facilities next door! Got a great little grocery package when we arrived (eggs, bread, butter, milk, juices, noodles) which came in really handy! Also a wonderful supermarket only 5-10 min walk away. So close to Orchard road action and MRT. The pool was relatively quiet, my kids loved having a massive pool to themselves. The cleaners did a wonderful job - even folded our pjs and clothes! We always love our stays at Shangri La hotels and this didnt dissapoint! Would stay there again 👍🏻👍🏻

Rooms a little dated. Room only cleaned every 3 days. Prefer atleast every second day.

The environment is serene, yet near to the vibrancy of Orchard Road and well connected. The apartment is spacious and very cosy, facilities are perfect. Everything in the property is clean and beautiful with a very relaxed feel.

The bathroom could do with an update. Showering in the bathtub with a shower curtain is quite outdated. Yet with all the other advantages of the apartment, it’s a small matter. We were on the 3rd floor with view of the car park. As the grounds have lots of plants, it’s OK. However, at check-in we asked for the option of a higher floor with a view, but were told it’s not possible because they’re fully booked, which was certainly not the case, as we could tell. Note to self: It’s probably best to make the request in the booking itself…and after all, someone has to stay on 3rd floor too ;-)

The location was perfect, a short stroll to cafes, shops, and the MRT . The well established gardens gave the place a wonderful relaxing vibe. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The apartments are huge and very clean. A special mention to the lovely lady Elily? our house keeper who couldn't do enough for us and who is excellent at her work. A lovely meandering garden path took you to the a joining hotel were you could use all the facilities at no extra cost and dine at the different restaurants available. Loved the foyer with the sparkling chandeliers and the walls of glass looking out to the Koi fish pond. The use of the business centre was an added bonus so was the complimentary coffee machine.

NOTHING

Spacious and clean suites, professional and friendly staff and service, access to the main Shangri-La hotel’s amazing swimming pool (weekdays only) and facilities, free laundry machines for guests, extra welcome bag for kids upon check-in, fairly convenient location near Orchard Road. Kitchen came equipped with Nespresso coffee maker and some basic supplies. Overall, very glad we chose this place to stay, it worked well for our family with young kids.

Soap and shampoo dispensers are slightly difficult for kids to use because they require firmly squeezing the bottle. Air conditioning and fan controls are a bit old, and we had to alternate between shutting off to avoid getting too cold at night, and turning it back on repeatedly. A newer digital thermostat would be better. Also wish there were more international power outlets, but at least the 2 bathrooms each had one. A few of the complementary grocery items were expired or tasted bad, I would expect expiration dates to be checked between guests. Wish we had access to the main hotel pool on weekends.

Location and was comfortable room despite in need of a refurbish

Apartment across from us appeared to have many people staying that spilt into hallway with luggage, food wrappers and shoes with one guest basically living in the hallway for 3 days. Some pool maintenance was unexpected but main hotel pool was great. Some issues with credit cards on arrival. Noted during my visit this happened quite a few times to other guests too. Suggest to look into it (appeared more with Australian cards) or more training as on departure staff processed our bill in a manual manner and there were no dramas.

The room and the facilities in the room were perfect for what we needed. The use of the main hotel for Breakfast and the pool was great and convenient and having a little bit to start off was excellent EG: Bread, Butter, Milk etc

The location was the biggest downfall. To get to an MRT is a walk which isn't pleasant when raining or hot. The hotel does run a shuttle but that doesn't start until 11am which I think is too late. To get most places we ended up doing Grab's (Ubers)
