Location excellent .easy walking to local cafés and boutiques. Close to grocery shops, Newsagents, art gallery etc. RSL club next door convenient for meals or just to relax at the cafe area. Staff were very kind and accommodating eg When the rooms air con broke down ,there was no delay in arranging an alternate room, while having the air-con repaired asap. Staff kept me up to date with progress. Shower was nice and hot.

Suggestion : Kitchenette area could do with dishwashing liquid, extra dish sponge, and an extra tea-towel. Dusty window shutters and wardrobe cupboard - could do with attention.

The staff had warmed my room with the air con which was thoughtful on a cold day. The room was spotless and contained everything I required. The bathroom is small with the vanity in the kitchenette area, but the full bath/shower water was hot. The water pressure was great. A huge flat screen TV. The location was very quiet despite being fully booked. My bed mattress was soft and super comfy. The standard of the room is well above other Mudgee motels I've stayed at who charge more. This one is great value for a good night's sleep and in a convenient location close to supermarkets, shops and food etc.

Unfortunately my fridge had been left switched off and the complimentary milk was date expired the next morning and had started to sour so no cuppa in the morning, but truly a great experience overall.

The motel was central and very clean. Comfortable beds and pillows. Lovely small pool which sadly we didn’t use. Staff were helpful and obliging.

The showers really let the motel down. Not only was the water pressure low but the shower head needed replacing so the fine mist of water sprayed everywhere. The first night we stayed there there was no hot water. There was a large group of us and this was the case in rooms upstairs and downstairs . The manager was aware and did what she could. Not keen on having the shower above the bath but this wouldn’t have been a problem if if was a decent shower.

The rooms were large and modern and comfortable. The shower was over the bath but again was modern. Heating to the room was exceptional. Large tv included. Beds were comfortable and firm but not too firm. Swipe card entry which negates the need to carry bulky keys when leaving the premises to explore Mudgee. Close proximity to Club Mudgee

Part large gravel driveway was slightly noisy with cars coming and going or turning early in the morning. This made it also a bit of a challenge for a motorbike rider like myself to negotiate

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

I wasnt told till after I booked and paid that there wasnt onsite parking as the carpark was being upgraded. I always check that I have onsite parking and other ammenities before I book somewhere, so I would have chosen another motel. I had to take all my bags into the motel, as I didnt want to leave them in the car on the street. So it was three trips to the car and back.

The motel is in a great position within easy walk of shops, cafes, hotels, parks etc The laundromat was handy 2 doors up the road. The motel was comfortable & provided a good supply of kitchen items to use as well as bathroom toiletries etc.

The sink was in the kitchen area & not actually in the bathroom. I found this a bit unusual.

This is my go-to motel when I'm in Mudgee. Excellent location, within walking distance to plenty of options for dinner. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Staff are friendly and helpful. Overall, a great experience and I will be back next time I'm in Mudgee.

Rooms are starting to get a little tired, will need some renovation soon.

We had previously stay here over a year ago when our car broke down and the NRMA put us up overnight so this was one of the reason we chose the Soldiers Motel as we knew it was clean, the locations is great and had a general idea of the rooms. Once we had checked in I noticed on Bookings.com that the room with the king size bed and spa bath was still available. They honoured the on line price and we paid the difference. I must say it was worth it.

My only suggestion would be to have salt and pepper sachets as we had meals to heat in the microwave and no S & P.

Great location, clean and comfortable. I have so much appreciation for crisp white bedding toppers (rather than a bed spread). Amazing value for money. The staff were fantastic and accommodated my late check out as best they could.

The unmarked Car park was a small headache with cars taking multiple spaces but manageable. There was a shower curtain- it was clean and suitable, I just don’t like them.

Location was great, within walking distance to the main street of town. Pickup from local winery tour bus. Had dinner across the road in the Paragon Hotel, Amazing, its a must visit if staying at this motel. We also loved the pool as it was extremely hot while there and to be able to cool off at the end of the day was fabulous.

Bed was too hard, like sleeping on a board, but managed for two nights.
