The hotel is a destination unto itself. From the stylish lobby, the beautiful rooms..the decor is on point. The wonderful restaurant ( the breakfast is great) Through to the pool, gym, steam room..all stylish. The pool area has a butane fireplace that would add to the ambience should you stay in the cooler months. The staff are all very professional. Sharon the receptionist is a real asset to the hotel and made or stay special.

The wine was very expensive. We would have loved to sit at the bar area for a drink, but it was too expensive for a bottle of wine. Also the pool really does need a railing to get in and out of

Probably one of the best NSW country hotels I've ever stayed in. Recently and very tastefully renovated ('Mod-eterranean' vibes). Room small but well appointed, comfy king bed, clean. Gigi's breakfast was the best we found in Mudgee, and they also did an excellent dinner (as does the other onsite restaurant, Flour Bin). Lovely pool. Was a bit hot to exercise outside so we used the compact, brand new gym (treadmill, free weights/squat rack). Convenient location. Onsite parking. Would happily stay again and easily recommend.

The property was newly refurnished and the room we stayed in was very contemporary in design, super spacious and clean. Location was great too - just a short walk to the town centre and short drive to the wineries. The staff at reception were very helpful and friendly and on the day we checked out, gave us a preview to their spa centre (it's a shame it wasn't opened yet during our stay). The small gym was great too - had sufficient equipment for a decent workout. Pool area was nice too. I don't think there's another property in Mudgee like the Clairfield and I would definitely stay there again when I next visit Mudgee.

What a lovely little gem! Beautifully renovated modern chic entrance whilst maintaining a 70’s vibe behind the scenes. Rooms tastefully decorated and extremely clean. The beds were so comfortable and the towels… so bloody soft! You could be forgiven for thinking you were somewhere in the Mediterranean when lazing around the pool! The gym is in a handy central location, stocked with up-to-date equipment. We had an amazing breakfast at Gigis and would recommend it highly. Couldn’t fault our two night stay, just wish we could have stayed longer!

We loved our three night stay at the gorgeous Clairfield Hotel! Recently renovated with a beautiful new modern design. Sleek and sophisticated decor which flows outside across to a stunning al fresco area that leads into a spectacular new pool which reminds us of a recent trip to Puglia in Italy. The pool is sparkling clean, framed by stunning capri white travatine pavers and beautiful outdoor furniture. We also sat in the evening next to the outdoor fireplace. Just so lovely! If you like to keep fit while away there’s also a brand new gym, steam room and a wellness centre with float tank and infra red sauna. Our room was tastefully furnished, great comfy bed, very clean and each day there was a little treat of biscuits in a jar to have with tea or coffee. Also a great sustainable concept with a fabulous complimentary filtered water station outside near the entrance so you can refill your water bottles and room carafe. This Hotel is just perfect if you want to explore Mudgee!

Newly refurbished with a great pool and gym. There is also a spa there but we never went. On site restaurant Gigi’s seems well regarded in the town too so is a destination in itself.

Nothing other than the fact that it wasn’t obvious that the hotel is really a motel that has been refurbished and made more upscale by the photos on their website. I feel like they can just own their past incarnation as a motel so guests aren’t unduly disappointed that they’ve paid more than they would have to stay in (an albeit very nice) motel rather than a hotel.

The cleanliness of the bedrooms was impeccable, and the bathroom was also tidy and well-maintained. I appreciated the thoughtful little travel goodies provided in the bathroom. Although I didn’t use the gym, it looked well-equipped and inviting. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.

The Wi-Fi internet was an issue, and resolving it involved unnecessary bureaucracy, despite my clearly stating that I needed access for study purposes. While the staff eventually provided me with another room (a kind gesture), I had been suggesting from the beginning that the issue was likely specific to my area. Unfortunately, my concerns were dismissed with claims that no other guests were experiencing the same problem. However, the next morning, I saw another guest near my room using her laptop outside, saying the signal inside her room wasn’t good. This could have been resolved much faster if my feedback had been taken seriously. The pool was advertised as heated, but it was quite cold.

Beautiful Atmosphere, staff were always happy and there to assist, the pool was exceptional and very clean, our room was fantastic. Very aesthetic place for some instagram photos. Went with my partner and had the best time, would be great for a girls weekend, with beautiful boutiques in town, plenty of wineries, and a gym, sauna and pool to use if your having a chill day at the hotel. The resturant in the hotel was very nice, very fancy!

An unexpected little gem! A fabulous upgrade has made this property a great destination in Mudgee. The pool and outside lounge area hit the Palm Springs vibe entirely. Excellent value for money.

Our room was near the back block and the windows shook anytime anyone out there closed their door.

Beautifully renovated property! The bed was super comfy, the room was clean and had plenty of space for the two of us. Good water pressure and temperature in the shower. Lovely restaurant on site (though a little on the expensive side). A+++ staff, and A++++++ house made cookies!! Thank you to Lucy in particular for making our stay wonderful!

The shower is mostly open so that great water pressure does mean that water gets all over the bathroom.
