we had a great stay after staying in a few not so good places on our rd. trip the staff were very helpful our check-in with Josh was excellent the room was very comfortable the breakfast was very good Andy the breakfast chef was very obliging to make our bacon crispy for us and Debbie the waitress was so nice a very happy face each morning and the pancake machine was amazing location was handy to every thing we will defiantly stay there again

no microwave in the room but as told at reception we could request one maybe the single bed could have been more comfortable

The most comfortable bed I have experienced! It felt like I was on a firm cloud.... reasonably well stocked fridge and local wines offering was a good display. It is terrible to have a fridge in your room with nothing in it!

The $25 buffet breakfast was included, but the quality of the food was below average and not very hot. I suggest serving foods in covered containers to keep the heat and strive for better quality than variety of foods. Fresh food should not sit there longer than 20-30 minutes. The buffet was not a very good value at $25.

Breakfast buffet style, plenty of choices. Room clean and comfortable, with plenty of room. Location close to all sorts of amenities, as well as being not far from family. The staff were particularly helpful and friendly. When I made the booking, there was only one room available, but I couldn'find out if it was a grpond floor unit. I phone them, explaining I need to be on the ground floor as husband couldn't manage stairs. They made sure to arrange this for us. Brilliant

The only thing I could hope to be better was the water pressure in the shower. But in saying thst I would still be a return customer.

Nice comfortable room and quiet. Good location, just a nice walking distance to coffee shops, pubs, shops and beautiful St Mary’s Cathedral. We enjoyed the restaurant, nice ambience, good food and local wines and very nice staff. Breakfast is included in the price. It also has a pool, well maintained and so enjoyable on those hot days.

We liked everything, however it would be very useful , if there was a cabinet in the bathroom to store cosmetics etc properly. I also found the pillows too hard, but that’s just me. Someone else will like it.

Very clean and spacious room, comfortable bed with electric blanket. Restaurant was good, happy hour and bonus drinks with dinner excellent! Staff were lovely and helpful and breakfast buffet good standard.

We only got one tiny soap for a 2 night stay and no hand towel. Toiletries a bit light on.... but probably could have asked for more if we'd seen someone, I'm sure they would have obliged.

We found the property to be excellent. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and the staff were really helpful and friendly. The location of the Winning Post was perfect, making it easy to find everything. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will most definitely return when our Orchestra rehearses in Mudgee next. I highly recommend the Winning Post to other travellers.

I would suggest having more coat hangers. Perhaps you could provide more heavy duty mats for the use of the miners who stay there. It would help to keep the coal dirt off the walkways.

It was a buffet breakfast and what you would expect in a good motel. the dinner we had on one night was excellent.

A. there was no hand towel provided. B. We found a bath towel hanging behind the bathroom door. had it been used and not taken away or was it fresh? who knows c. On looking at the bottles of wine in the room we discovered a chocolate segment stuck in the base of one bottle. we didn't drink any of the wine

It was surprisingly neat and tidy. Super easy to find and an easy stroll to cafes and places to eat. Bed was comfortable and cosy and too Was spacious. Would highly recommend

Only issue we had was a smell coming from in or just outside the bathroom. Kept the door closed which helped. Not sure if there’s a bin located near the window outside.

The location was great as we could walk into town to explore. The room was very spacious and clean. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was very good, and the restaurant staff were excellent.

There is nothing we didn't like about our stay. We enjoyed the accommodation. We were also very impressed with Mudgee as a town, very clean and lots of things to do.

only very minor issues that were raised as feedback when checking out - we stayed in room 55 - toilet seat does not stay up - lighting in bathroom for doing make up is not very good - maybe consider placing a full length mirror on the end of the wall that divides bedroom & bathroom - this would be excellent when you need to do makeup & get dressed - especially for wedding parties and / or guests - one thing I forgot to mention is that the bed mattress should be rotated more often as it dips a little on rhs
