If we could give more than five stars, we would. Our stay at Forgandenny House in Mudgee was nothing short of exceptional. Having travelled extensively and stayed in many types of accommodation around the world, we can confidently say that the experience here surpassed them all. The personal hospitality from Robbie was truly outstanding—gracious, attentive, and thoughtful in every way. From the moment we arrived, we felt not just welcomed, but genuinely cared for. The house itself, dating back to the early 1900s, is an absolute gem. Our room was tranquil, elegant, and full of charm—perfectly suited to the character of the home. Each morning began with a breakfast that went well beyond our expectations, lovingly prepared and delicious in every detail. We also appreciated the thoughtful treats available throughout the day—tea, coffee, cookies, and cakes that made us feel right at home. Location-wise, it’s ideal—just a short walk into the heart of Mudgee, where we enjoyed exploring the local cafés and restaurants. This is a place we’ll be recommending wholeheartedly to friends, family, and anyone looking for a peaceful escape with impeccable hospitality. This place is a little gem in mudgee, Robbie the owner is very friendly and informative of the area. The breakfast was second to none. The house is very beautiful with well manicured gardens with lots of places to sit, just a short stroll from the centre of town. Perfect in every way. Thank you for hosting us. Michael and Jackie ❤

The location was excellent. The breakfasts were exceptional. The hosts were delightful and helpful and willing to make special arrangements for breakfast. They gave us tips on where to go to restaurants and what to do.

The airconditioning had to be switched on outside by our hosts. This meant that we had no control over the amount of heat. I feel the cold very much and found the room to be far too cold and was unable to do anything about it. Also the room was very dark. If I had realised that there was a suite to be had, I would most certainly have booked that. The room of the suite was much lighter and much more pleasant.

One of, if not the, best Band B's we've ever stayed in. There is nothing we didn't like, and breakfast was amazing. Robbie is a wonderful host, the location terrific and the house and the gardens beautiful. Go!

It would be nitpicking, and untrue, to say there was anything we didn't like.

Exceptional breakfast featuring berry and pear starter followed by beautiful bacon & eggs with mushrooms and asparagus. A delicious smoothie was also provided along with juice,coffee and cereal.

Exceptional breakfast and nibbles. No request was too difficult. Beautiful home and lady Warm and relaxing atmosphere . Fantastic location

Lovely hosts who made us feel relaxed and comfortable at the property. Breakfasts were done to perfection, all done by host Robbie. We would definitely recommend to our friends and family.

Breakfast was very nice, beautifully prepared and presented. I was attending a cycling event on one of the mornings meaning that I needed to be up early. This was not an issue, breakfast as requested was available at 6am. My partner who was not participating in the event had breakfast later and again was extremely satisfied with the breakfast, preparation and staff.

I couldn't stay longer than two nights .... hee heee. Seriously could not fault my stay everything was to my liking. We actually decided not to go out one afternoon and jus stay, relax and enjoy the beautiful verandah and garden
