Friendly staff and a fully-equipped, spacious room made this a very comfortable long weekend getaway. Bathroom was modern and clean and the kitchenette was so convenient. The minibar was well-stocked, including wine, and all for reasonable prices. Although not located in the heart of Mudgee, it was an easy 15 minute walk to the centre and we were close to some lovely cafes and restaurants regardless.

We had issues with the TV, with the signal cutting in and out at times and the remote not being very responsive. Additionally, although we were two staying in the room, we were only given one new towel each day, and there was one day where housekeeping didn't come. A minor complaint but felt it was worth mentioning. I would also recommend more hangers! But apart from that, we enjoyed our stay immensely.

Staff. In particular Jo in reception was excellent. Breakfast - excellent. Good price. Room was good. Very quiet. Good parking. Good location of our room at back of premises.

The shower - water didn’t drain completely, just pooled in bottom of shower and still there 12 hours later. Unhygienic. Shower head could be updated. Towels were well used, thin and scratchy. (One had stains on it). No hand towel in bathroom. Did get one when requested but it was removed next clean! No body wash. One very small soap for two people!👎

We have stayed at the Horatio King Suites before and have returned because of the excellence experienced the first time. It is surprisingly quiet given it is on the main road into Mudgee and our room had a leafy view. The design of the room with kitchenette is well-thought-out with seating area and kitchen away from the bed and television. The little meals area benefits from the natural daylight and the bathroom is well-equipped and has a nice feel to it. The standard and facilities of the room have never faltered, that is a bonus. The bed was very comfortable and I liked the fact a second pillow was accessible, also an iron and ironing board.

The suite while spacious and contemporary does have a commercial feel and is a bit sterile, however, that can be a pleasant thing given the fussiness you often encounter in some country motels.

Our studio apartment was just right. The receptionist was able to move us from the second floor to the ground floor so we didn't have to lug our suitcases up the stairs. Very well maintained and well fitted out. As our last major stopover on our trip, this stay ticked all the boxes - it was a good way to finish things.

I marked down the location as the property is a little aways from the town centre so to get to the shops, cafes, hotels etc. you do need to drive. Nothing else was not liked.

The King Suite was spacious, clean, well maintained and had everything we needed for a short stay. The inclusion of a lounge and dining setting was very good.

The only thing that could have improved our stay was the inclusion of a hand towel in the bathroom. We did ask for one but were informed that this is a trend with properties now not to provide a hand towel. Onsite dining would also improve the services offered.

We had requested for an early check in and were told that rooms are usually ready around 1pm - 1:30pm and they will call us when ready. We reached around 12pm and luckily the rooms were ready by 12:30pm. Check in and check out were really smooth. Staff at the reception are very friendly and accommodating. This is the second time we were staying at this property and had requested a room on the ground floor which opens up to the grass area and were allocated the same. They are exceptionally clean and the beds are super comfortable. Kitchenette in the studios are really useful with sink, microwave, refrigerator and cutlery. Swimming pool was an added bonus being the perfect weather at that time.

The only thing I would say was the swimming pool which was not clean in the evening on the day we checked in. However, it was cleaned the next day in the morning.

We liked the size of our room, although we did pay for one. Loved the large king size bed which enables better sleep. Room was warm and quiet. Facilities for own supply of breakfast were good.

The size of the supplied soap was too small for use at both the hand basin and shower. The amount of shower gel would wash about one quarter of your body. Seemed a bit mean for the quality of the accommodation. However, we understand the need to reduce waste.

We travelled to Mudgee the same day to attend an afternoon wedding. Staff were very accommodating letting us gain an early arrival to our suites so we could dress and freshen up for the wedding. Caily at front desk was very sweet and even checked with housekeeping and rang us on our way, to confirm that our rooms were now clean and available to us. Very nice and helpful staff. Rooms were modern and clean, with many mirrors for multiple females to dress. Plenty of free parking too. We would definitely recommend staying at the Horatio Motel.

Excellent motel with clean and modern facilities. The staff were helpful and courteous, would recommend this motel to anyone staying at Mudgee.

I requested to use the barbeque facilities which appeared intact however learned that these facilities could not be used as shift workers stayed at the establishment. No update was provided to me and a modicum of thought could have had shift workers lodged away from this area or some soundproofing installed. I took up smoking cigars again over this weekend. Although frowned upon, I an dealing with a great deal of stress at the moment. The smoking facilities consisted of a bench in the full midday to afternoon sun without any form of shelter akin to some form of police line up for all to see the discomfort. I do not endorse smoking however any modest attempt to appease the stressed or addicted would be a huge step forward.

We had a room at the side of property and it was very quiet. The room was an excellent size, plenty of storage, the bed was comfy and we liked the fact that we could either open the windows for fresh air or use the air conditioning. The bathroom was nice and roomy and the water pressure in the shower was perfect. We did make use of the little kitchenette and appreciated the small bottle of dishwashing liquid. This room was one of the cleanest I’ve ever stayed in. My feet were not dirty walking bare foot on the tiles or the carpet. That was a big plus for my husband.
